First of all: thank you for being here to close out 2025 <3.
2025, you were everything I hoped you would be and more. So many new memories.
I don't yet know what 2026 will bring, but last year was one for the books. Highlights included trips to China, Mexico City, Egypt, and exploring the English countryside.
Entrepreneurs probably recognize that 2025 was not an easy year.
When I started Your Little Black Book, I had one dream: not to work to stay somewhere for free in exchange for content and the pressure of a "picture perfect" experience. But to use my revenue models to book and experience those special places myself, as a guest instead of an influencer, and to give you honest tips.
After almost 15 years of entrepreneurship, I'm so happy with the balance between editorial and commercial work and that I can also say no to things that don't feel right.
At the same time, it's still special that destinations, airlines, and hotels hire me to create a customized Little Black Book for them. I have complete freedom with these campaigns, and I believe in the value of these content-based tips that truly suit your taste. And they come from me personally, not from a machine.

This will always be my dream job, the one I created almost 15 years ago. I still do as much as possible myself. That's energizing—from both successes and failures.

This is the coolest new hotel for a night away! Meet @viaantwerp, Antwerp's newest boutique hotel on the border of Zurenborg and Borgerhout (yep, voted the 2nd coolest neighborhood in the world by Time Out).
I recently stayed at this gem, and it truly has it all: a lively bar with a cozy atmosphere, walls adorned with creative art, beautiful, bright rooms, and it's within walking distance of great hotspots. And I haven't even mentioned @mea.antwerp! The delightful restaurant, helmed by a chef who previously worked at The Palomar in London. If you know, you know!

Visit Disneyland Paris in a spooktacular Halloween atmosphere
What Disneyland Paris What makes the month leading up to Halloween so much fun? As soon as you enter Disneyland Park, you're greeted by typical Halloween decorations! From smiling pumpkins to illuminated garlands, lanterns, friendly ghosts, and cheerful skeletons that can reach up to three meters tall. As a fall fan, I absolutely love these kinds of decorations, but the colors of the trees in the park are also beautiful during autumn. I especially loved the decorations around Main Street, Adventureland, and Frontierland!
Meet the Disney Villains in real life
Another fun thing is that you see more Disney Villains in the park during the Halloween Festival, from Maleficent to Captain Hook, the Queen of Hearts, Cruella de Vil, and more. Our son Manuel's favorite was Mickey's Halloween Celebration. During this festive Halloween parade, the Disney Characters in their fall costumes celebrate the start of the autumn season in a festive and colorful atmosphere. Mickey surprises guests with his breathtaking float, "Mickey's Illusion Manor," and a number of playful ghosts. In addition to the regular parade, this is definitely a must-see! Later in the evening, there are also various shows to round off the day. It was our first time in the park without a stroller, and after 20.000 steps a day, we took it a bit easier in the evening with our toddler. What Manuel also really enjoyed for the first time was the kids' club in the hotel After dinner, he could do some crafts. And of course, he wanted to have his picture taken with the Disney characters in the hotel. So unfortunately, we missed the evening shows this year, but luckily there's always next time!
From November 8th, celebrate Christmas at Disneyland Paris
Itching to go to Disneyland Paris this year? From November 8, 2025, to January 6, 2026, everything will be in the Christmas spirit. I've been there twice in December myself, and I can tell you it's truly magical! I previously wrote a blog post about it with helpful tips if you're planning a trip. Disneyland Paris during the holidays want to visit. Read the tips here >> Manuel still talks about our visit every day, and what I find so sweet is that he's found so much inspiration to reenact things. His BUZZ Light Year plush flies through the house, and when we go to bed at night, we pretend to parade to his room <3. I'm already looking forward to watching all the Disney classic movies during the holidays. Happy Holidays!
