Whenever I'm abroad I always love going to food markets. Vienna's most famous food market is the Naschmarkt in the 6th district. Locals come here to do their shopping, and you can find the most delicious oriental tapas. I personally love Arabic food! A great thing about the Naschmarkt is that you can sample delicious treats at every stall. This market is perfect for shopping for fresh produce, from cheese to meat and from herbs to vegetables. In winter, the Naschmarkt in Vienna is charming with mulled wine and sausages at the small restaurants. In summer, it's great to pick up snacks here and eat them in the park. Around the Naschmarkt, you'll also find many lovely restaurants and coffee shops, such as: On Market, Babette's and Kaffee Fabrik.
