Waiting in endless queues in Langebrugsteeg is no longer necessary because lunch spot De Laatste Kruimel Amsterdam has recently opened a second location in the heart of the Jordaan. Here, you can see how all the sandwiches, salads, and pastries are freshly prepared.

Why you should visit the second location of De Laatste Kruimel Amsterdam

There may be plenty of sandwich and takeaway shops in the Jordaan, but there’s always room for a second branch of De Laatste Kruimel. A quick lunch was not an option at the first location due to the long queues (with tourists and locals) that form around noon. That may also come at the second branch, but for now, you can order a sandwich, salad, or one of their delicious pastries without any hassle. For example, you can even eat there peacefully, enjoying a large cup of coffee.

De Prinsenstraat, where the second branch is located, is a street that is becoming increasingly charming. On the corner, you will find De Twee Prinsen and Kikkie van de Prinsensluis. In the street itself, there’s plenty to do: Café Klepel serves excellent wines with a chef’s menu, at Margriet Nannings you can find designer fashion, and at concept store Oslo you can pick up home accessories.

Menu De Laatste Kruimel

Never change a winning team, right? At the second location of De Laatste Kruimel Amsterdam, you will find the familiar menu they have been serving for years. It is a place that has never lost its charm, simply because the concept is cosy and attractive simultaneously, and the quality of the food is just excellent. Nowhere else in Amsterdam do you get value for money like at De Laatste Kruimel. The sandwiches are generously filled, one salad can be shared between two, and the quiches are unmatched. Those with a sweet tooth will also be more than satisfied here – this place is a veritable dream for anyone who loves pastries and cakes. Think French toast made from almond croissants, the best muffins you have ever tasted, and cakes that are almost too beautiful to eat, but you should do so.
