De Huiskamer van Rembrandt Amsterdam: coffee at Rembrandtpark

14 November 2016

de huiskamer van rembrandt Amsterdam gives you a warm winter

De Huiskamer van Rembrandt Amsterdam is the new go to place after a morning walk in Rembrandtpark. The place for a good coffee and a to read the newspaper. Besides Bartack on the Postjesweg, you can now go to De Huiskamer van Rembrandt as well. The name could not have been more appropriate, because this spot really wants to become the living room of the park. And apparently other people want that as well, because Judith – the initiator – raised enough money for this project via her crowdfunding campaign. In fact, she even raised more money than the target amount. How nice!

De Huiskamer van Rembrandt wants to be a cozy all day haven of tranquility and comfort. Here, you won’t hear and see scooters and cars along your patio table. But just nice views on the cozy courtyard and the park within easy reach. You can go here all day, until 20.00 hours, for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The dishes are prepared by chefs from the neighbourhood. So it may just be that you’ll order the harira soup made by your upstairs Moroccan neighbour, or the sardines from the Portugese Mary. And here it’s also all about fun: small portions that are perfect for sharing.

More restaurants in Amsterdam

Besides the good food and drinks you will find other kinds of entertainment as well at de Huiskamer van Rembrandt. Tastings, book reading clubs, or jeu de boules tournaments are also organised, how much fun is that? Perfectly timed for that warm and cozy winter and a loving Spring.
