The Berghain Berlin is one of the most famous and mysterious techno clubs in the world… This club is located in an old power station in an abandoned industrial area in FriedrichshainHere you can club 24/7 from Thursday to Monday and stay as long as you like. I've heard stories of people staying at Berghain from Friday to Monday and completely losing track of time. That happens pretty quickly… it's pitch black and the techno is constantly blasting. If you love techno, a pilgrimage to Berghain is definitely worth it. Berlin Don't miss it on your bucket list. The biggest challenge? The hours-long line and the infamous bouncer at the door.
Rule #1: Save yourself the effort to look your best!
The Berghain Berlin It's not for fashionistas and pretty boys. So leave your newly purchased outfit at home and put on your worn-out festival sneakers and skinny jeans with a T-shirt. Don't wear bright or flashy colors, jewelry, collars, or dress shoes. Make sure you don't stand out too much from the other Berghainers.
Rule #2: Put on your poker face and join the front of the line
Only Berghain Berlin newbies neatly join the back of the line. To shorten your wait, all you need is a poker face and a bit of courage. This club is open 24/7, and once you have a stamp, you can come and go all weekend. So save yourself a minimum two-hour wait only to be denied entry by the bouncer. Here's how to rock the line: walk along the left side of the line all the way to the front until you're about 10 meters from the barriers. Stop there and remain standing, then casually walk along with the line. Act like you've done this hundreds of times before. All the locals do it, and nobody says a word.
Rule #3: Act nonchalant once you have the doorbitch in sight
At the door of the Berghain Berlin An older man covered in ink and piercings stands at the door. Act like you've been here before and don't let on that you're mentally praying not to be turned away. People are rejected and sent away all the time. When the doorman nods at you, nonchalantly raise your hand and gesture with your fingers to show how serious you are. After the approving look, walk in with a straight face and hide your big smile.
Rule #4: Don't bring a camera ;-)
Until a few years ago, smartphones were not allowed inside. Cameras are prohibited in Berghain. BerlinMy Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom was supposed to stay in the cloakroom, but since security and the cloakroom are in a different room, there's no one checking what you're doing... so you quickly slip it back into your bag. So...

Rule #5: Leave your germ phobia at home
This club is open 24/7, so be aware that by the time you arrive for a dance on Saturday, you'll have already spent a lot of time at Berghain Berlin. It's rough, dark, and dirty. There are small, dark rooms everywhere where you don't want to know what's going on. People are sitting and lounging everywhere, and it's a maze of corridors.

Rule #6: Make sure you're well rested
Once inside Berghain Berlin, it's easy to lose track of time... It's pitch black, and the techno is blaring and constantly peaking. Judging by the DJ's sets, you'd think it's always 3 a.m. in Berghain... when the party is at its peak ;-). Fresh new faces are constantly dropping in, and those who are feeling down are taking a power nap in between. That's how bizarre this techno temple is!
Rule #7: Enjoy!
Make sure you have an evening at Berghain Berlin It'll be your best club night ever! And stick to just one beer :-).
After a night of clubbing at Berghain and a few too many beers, my phone was full of photos. Very strange… but handy for this Berghain-uncovered blog!
