Day Foodbar Amsterdam: for Italian, Spanish and French dishes in Amsterdam South

31 October 2017

at day foodbar amsterdam you feel welcome right away

We of course know Day Foodbar as one of our favourite hotspots in Amstelveen with its warm interior and delicious Mediterranean food. And lucky us, because we can now enjoy the restaurant also in Amsterdam, on the Cornelis Krusemanstraat in Amsterdam South to be exact. The building is completely renovated and has a terrace with over 150 seats! Just like in Amstelveen we can go to this all day spot for coffee, breakfast, lunch, drinks or dinner.

the menu x Day Foodbar Amsterdam

As soon as you enter you will immediately feel welcome at Day Foodbar Amsterdam. I myself have often been to the Day Foodbar in Amstelveen, and like in Amstelveen there is a nice laid-back atmosphere. Also in terms of menu, it differs little from their first location. We can now also go to Day Foodbar Amsterdam for Italian, Spanish and French dishes, like the delicious freshly baked focaccia’s with pulled chicken or homemade pesto cream cheese or grilled sea bass or fried risotto with eggplant caviar in the evening. Or do you prefer one of their mega delicious pastas? We went for the pasta with prawns, green asparagus and cherry tomatoes and the linguine with parmesan and truffle cream sauce. The classic caesar salad is also an absolute must try.

In addition to breakfast, lunch or dinner, Day Foodbar is a great place to have drinks and snacks. We went for the vegetarian platter with focaccia with aioli and cream cheese, manchego and roquefort, rucola cheese croquettes, roasted beet and piementos, olives and bruschetta with burrata, pomodori and pesto. YUM! Perfect to share and with a few wines you have a wonderful evening ;-)

We for sure can’t wait to come back in the spring to have drinks on the terrace.

Have fun at Day Foodbar Amsterdam!
