Want to do something fun on the weekend of 27 & 28 February?  Can’t get enough of  walking? Do you like good food, but have you already tried out all the take-away and make-away boxes? Then I’d like to introduce you to Le Food Walk Amsterdam! A culinary city walk that will guide you past amazing restaurants in Amsterdam where the chefs make something delicious especially for Le Food Walk – and therefore for you. The first edition kicks off with a walk through the East of Amsterdam where you can taste the best bites of:  BAUT Oost, De Kas, Jacobsz, Local Dealer, In Between  (the pop-up at the back of Restaurant Entrepot) and  Tapperij de Eeuwig Jeugd in 10,000 steps while enjoying a drink. A ticket costs  € 37.50 per person  (+ €1,- ticket fee) and includes 5 snacks and 2 drinks. Le Food Walk is  vega-proof, you can choose a vegetarian walk when buying a ticket. The tickets are limited, so if you want to be there for the first edition, don’t wait too long to get your Le Food Walk ticket.

10.000 steps and culinaire snacks

You start Le Food Walk at the new hotspot BAUT East, at a time chosen by you and your walking date between 12.30 and 15.30. The walk ends no later than 18:00. At  BAUT Oost a welcome cocktail  is waiting for you as well as your first bite. Don’t forget your mouthcap, because during the take-away you peek inside this new hotspot and literally go in through the front door and out the back door. With the digital walk you will then go on a route past favorite foodieproof spots in the East of Amsterdam, via Amsterdam East to Centrum East and back to BAUT. A route of just over 10,000 steps  and 8 km. Just long enough so that before you reach the next location you really want something delicious again! But… of course you can also choose to make It Le Food Biketour and take the bike. Extra fun: some of the participating restaurants such as BAUT and Jacobsz open their doors especially for you in the afternoon!

Just for you a little overview:

Le Food Walk EAST

A culinary walk through the East of Amsterdam.

DATA: February 27 + 28, 2021

TIMES: between 12:30 and 18:00

START: BAUT Amsterdam, Wibautstraat 125

HERE’S WHAT YOU GET: A few days before the walk, the Le Food Walk route, including map and tips for the road, will be sent digitally.

TASTE THIS:
– 1 X bite and cocktail (BAUT East –
 non-alcoholic welcome cocktail possible)-
4 X bites (TheGreenhouse, Jacobsz, Local Dealer & In Between – of course you can also buy a drink here in addition to the snack you get )
– 1 X drink (Tapperij de Eeuwige Jeugd – watch out alcohol free not possible)
All bites are tasting size and are especially available for you and your walking date during Le Food Walk East on presentation of your ‘stamp card’.

LE PRICE: € 37.50 (+ € 1 ticket fee) for all 5 bites and 2 drinks.

GOOD TO KNOW: Do you eat vega? Vegetarian tickets  are available and must be pre-ordered. For the drinks, an alcohol-free alternative is available at BAUT, at Tapperij de Eeuwige Jeugd though it’s only a specialty beer. Unfortunately, for this first Le Food Walk we cannot take specific dietary requirements and restrictions into account. Hopefully we can do that again after Covid-19, when we can take a little more time at the different locations.

AND FURTHER: Don’t forget to bring your mouthcap!  Furthermore, hand-sanitizer is also useful, because the bites you will taste are fingerlicking good. We assume that you are now familiar with all the guidelines of the RIVM  and these are of course also used at the locations that participate in Le Food Walk.

OVER Le Food Walk

Le Food Walk Amsterdam is a new project from Your Little Black Book that I came up together with my food friend Seger owner of the restaurant Sjefietshe and online platform Foodini during a walk through the park. The idea for food tours had been on my mind since 2015, but this year everything fell into place. For this first edition we are super proud of our launching partner BAUT East. Especially for Le Food Walk they open the doors for two days, before they officially open when the lockdown is over.

Together with Seger I am very much looking forward to seeing you on February 27 or 28th!

With love,

Anne
