How to reach Your Little Black Book

Your Little Black Book is your digital address book for city and travel guides, restaurants, and curated lifestyle tips. The tasteful time-saver for those who prefer choosing wisely rather than searching endlessly.

While I sometimes struggle to get through all the mail in my inbox, the personal contact with followers, (potential) clients, PR agencies, and restaurants is the MOST enjoyable aspect of my work. After 12,5 and a half years at Your Little Black Book, I can honestly say that I've added a large number of new friends to my inner circle, and the initial contact was made with a simple (business) email to info@yourlittleblackbook.me.

Of course, I always try to respond to emails as quickly as possible, but due to the proliferation of press releases and requests, and the fact that I'm often abroad for Your Little Black Book, it can sometimes take a few days. Therefore, I've listed the best ways to reach me below.

This is your ticket to Japan without taking a plane 🥢 @tewatashi.ams in De Pijp serves an authentic Edo-Mae Sushi Experience and is super consistent in their quality. It's the place we keep going back to when we have something to celebrate <3. In this video I'm sharing the 2 hour experience in 60 seconds. Still dreaming about the buttery ika nigiri. 🤤 ✖️✖️✖️ 🖊️ @anne_de_buck { one of the best authentic Japanese restaurants in Amsterdam serving premium sushi omakase in De Pijp }
𝗔 𝗯𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗰𝗮𝗳𝗲́ 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝗔𝗺𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗱𝗮𝗺 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆? @eetcafe_de_reiger is the spot to remember. Cozy, casual, and a seasonal menu. This one was on my list to share for a year and finally it's (almost) asparagus season again! 🤤 Another plus? Prices are very reasonable here! 📍 Eetcafé de Reiger Jordaan, Amsterdam City Center Save this spot for when you're craving warm Dutch traditional dishes in the heart of Amsterdam. And did you hear the same team took over Eetcafé van Beeren? I can't wait to go there too! ✖️✖️✖️ 🖊️ @anne_de_buck
A grandma's cookbook. Three Michelin stars. And a beautiful 70s villa in a quiet neighborhood in Bangkok, where you are welcomed as if you were at the chefs' home. The Sühring brothers don't cook based on trends; they cook based on memories. Of their grandmother's farm, of the flavors of their youth in Germany, and of techniques passed down through generations. @relaischateaux invited me to experience Sühring during a solo lunch, and this is truly my ultimate definition of culinary self-care. This was a surprising afternoon in Bangkok, where I ate the best German food I have ever tasted. And that in a city where I normally avoid European restaurants. Well, for @restaurant_suhring, you really want to make that exception. Signature dishes that I still think back to regularly? 🍴 Labskaus with caviar 🍴 Enleta waffle with Pfalz vinegar 🍴 Game pâté 🍴 Dry-aged Duck TIP: When you go to Sühring, reserve seats at the kitchen bar so you have a view of the chefs at work! Follow @yourlbb for more tips you can trust. ✖️✖️✖️ 🖊️ @anne_de_buck #prinvited #bangkok #michelin #relaischateaux In this reels, I take you along for fine dining in Bangkok at the three-Michelin-starred restaurant Sühring.
This is one of the best free outings in the spring! Did you know that you can gather (or pick, for the connoisseurs 😉) oysters yourself at various locations in the Netherlands? I’m in Zeeland for a bit this weekend, and if we can make it, we’ll go again. 📍In this video, I show you where you can fill your bucket. Comment *oester* for the comprehensive guide with all the details about all 8 locations + handy tips and rules. Important to know: – Max. 10 kilos per person (≈ 1 bucket) – For personal use only – Do not scoop or scrape the seabed – Go at low tide Handy things to bring: Bucket, screwdriver, boots, work gloves, tea towel, clean clothes, and garbage bags (for the oysters *and* dirty clothes). And of course: bring an oyster knife, lemon, and champagne too 🍋🥂 Because you’ll want to taste something right away, won’t you! The oyster season runs from September to about April / early May, so now that the water isn't so cold, this is the perfect outing. In the full guide, I share exactly where you can easily find them, without much effort. Comment oyster and I'll send it to you right away! Who do you want to go oyster gathering with soon? ✖️✖️✖️ 🖊️ @anne_de_buck
𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲'𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗽𝗼𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 These are those few magical weeks each year when the city suddenly feels different. Everything is in bloom and all you want to do is be outside. Coffee to-go in hand, and just head out as soon as the sun shows up. 📍 Bloesempark – Amsterdamse Bos (the classic, yes it gets busy, but totally worth it) 📍 Rijksmuseum 📍 Fruit Garden of West 📍 Westerpark 📍 Jozef Israëlskade 📍 WG site 📍 Nelson Mandelapark 📍 Bos en Lommerplantsoen 📍Amstelpark By mid-April most of the sakura will already be gone, so if you want to catch it: this is your moment. I'll definitely be doing a few more rounds before it's over. ✖️✖️✖️ 🖊️ @anne_de_buck _______________________________________________ 🌸 Discover the best places to spot cherry blossom in Amsterdam and enjoy the sakura in full bloom. 🌸

Would you like to send a package or written invitation?

I love receiving mail and unpacking packages. But... of course, it's a shame to just send something we won't actually use. We can often use it on Instagram Stories, but sending a package doesn't guarantee it will be published. Not sure? It's always best to email info@yourlittleblackbook.me beforehand. That way, we can be sure of a win-win situation!

Personal tips or questions

I've lost count of the number of dates I've planned over the years, or how many times I've told you where I buy my bohemian dresses and my TV stand. For questions, it's best to DM me at Instagram Stories. When I'm waiting for the tram or have 10 minutes between appointments, I try to answer all my DMs personally. Of course, I'd appreciate it if you followed me on Instagram if you're reading this (if you aren't already!).

Did you know that I share the latest articles and the Amsterdam Weekend Guide every Friday via my newsletter? That way, you'll be completely up-to-date before the weekend begins. You can subscribe using the button below.

If you want to know which destinations have hotspot guides, it is best to do a search on the site or between the City Guides (for cities) and Travel Guides (for (islands) look. Chances are your destination is listed there!

Do you have a store and want one of my books Selling? Yes, you can! The best way to do that is to send me an email so I can put you in touch with my publisher.

Invitations to press trips, tasting dinners or other reviews

Sometimes I still have to pinch myself to realize I'm actually there, when I've flown to the other side of the world for a press trip, am in a new restaurant, or get to try out a beauty treatment. Even after all these years, it's still a great honor when someone wants to collaborate on a press trip or review. For all these reviews, we want to get a "real" experience, just like our followers would have. That's why we don't often attend large-scale restaurant press openings, but prefer to visit separately with a +1. It's also much better for the photos! You can always contact us about this at info@yourlittleblackbook.me.

Submit a tip about a new hotspot

Do you have a great tip for a new hotspot opening soon? Let us know using the button below! It's always helpful if you keep an eye out in neighborhoods we don't frequent ourselves. Whether a location ultimately gets featured on Your Little Black Book remains the editors' decision, and we won't discuss the reasons for inclusion.

 Tip the editors

Promoting an event, pop-up or location in Amsterdam

We're always looking for tips for fun parties, food markets, and unique events in Amsterdam to include in the Amsterdam Weekend Guide. Please send your press release about two weeks in advance, including a link to the Facebook event, to tips@yourlittleblackbook.me. We receive a lot of requests every week, but we only accept a limited number of tips.

Want to guarantee placement? Local businesses, events, and cultural institutions in Amsterdam can advertise at a reduced "local rate." This can be done through a blog post, an article in the weekend guide, Instagram (Stories), or the newsletter. This way, you can reach 20.000 to 70.000 Amsterdammers in a single weekend. For this, please also see the page for advertisers >>

Fancy a cup of coffee?

SORRY! I hope reading the subheading didn't put a smile on your face, because I'm afraid I have to disappoint you. I get multiple requests for coffee every day. From people who also want to start a blog, new platforms that do similar things to Your Little Black Book and therefore see a good match for collaboration, women with a great idea they don't want to share until we meet, new brands that need a springboard, or parties looking for free content. You can always email me, but because I've been running Your Little Black Book for a while and have wasted so much time in the past on meetings that didn't yield any results, I've become very selective about this. Sometimes I already don't know how to juggle all the balls in the air with so few hours in a day. Don't take it as a personal rejection.
