Really… if I haven’t had my cup before 9 in the morning, I turn into some kind of grumpy cat. So, in every neighbourhood of Amsterdam, I now know the best spots for a good cup of coffee.

DIKK Amsterdam: In a large warehouse in Amsterdam North, Dikk Amsterdam opened its doors. A cosy café with a high Barbie factor: the decor is mostly pink. On the menu, you’ll find sandwiches, cakes, toasties, and good coffee!

Cafe Restaurant Metro: One of the nicest new restaurants in Amsterdam North. And the good news is that they have their own bakery and therefore open early every day. They don’t have a big breakfast menu, but they do offer some very tasty sweet options for with your coffee. Good to know: from 12:00 they serve lunch and this is definitely a place you want to visit for dinner.

Zizou: On the bridge near Admiraal de Ruijterweg, you’ll find the delightful coffee shop Zizou. The perfect place to pause and admire the hustle and bustle of Amsterdam while enjoying a nice cup of coffee.
