"South of Houston," or Soho, because this area is somewhat reminiscent of London. It feels like a charming outdoor mall, where many major brands like Chanel and Celine are housed in the impressive industrial buildings so characteristic of this Manhattan neighborhood.
A visit to this neighborhood is quite dangerous, as you'll suddenly feel the urge to empty every shop. Besides countless charming boutiques, this is also a great place to browse design and art galleries.
The best way to explore this neighborhood is by zigzagging between Canal Street and West Houston. Or, if you're short on time, at least explore the streets between Prince Street and Spring Street, which, for me, is the heart of the neighborhood. This Soho Manhattan Guide offers the best tips for this trendy (and unmissable!) New York neighborhood.
