A visit to New York is not complete without a walk through Central Park! This park is so charming in every season. Have a nice picnic in the summer on a bench, ice skate in the winter and enjoy the beautiful colours in the fall. I think that’s my favourite season to go to Central Park!
In terms of restaurants, there is not much to be found in Central Park. It is best to get something tasty at the food court in the basement of the Plaza Hotel or at a deli on the edge of the park. Touristic, but also a bit of a bucket list thing for the ultimate New York feeling is The Loeb Boathouse near The Lake. Go there for a lunch on the terrace for the view once!
My favourite places in Central Park are: Gapstow Bridge, Bethesda Fountain and The Lake. Combine a visit to this green oasis in New York with one of the museums that border the park on the side of the Upper West Side or Upper East Side. It is also nice to rent bicycles or take a bike ride. Have fun with the tips from this Central Park New York Guide!
