Bordeaux Travel Tips

The wine and French cuisine alone are reason enough for a city break to Bordeaux! But in this historic French port city, there's much more to do than just get drunk on the region's world-famous wines.

Bordeaux is also known as the city of art and history. There's plenty to keep museum lovers entertained. Bordeaux is no longer a dusty industrial city, but with the arrival of the Mama Shelter Hotel, among other things, it's becoming completely hip. In terms of beauty, it can easily be compared to Paris, but a bit cheaper. Antique and modern go well together.

Enjoy trendy Bordeaux and discover its many hotspots. After breakfast or lunch at the trendy organic shop Plume Small Kitche, pick up a nice souvenir for yourself at the nearby concept store Les Filles au Balcon. Or take a break from wandering and picnic in the charming Jardin Public. Don't underestimate Bordeaux, because its nightlife is also vibrant! Enjoy a cocktail at L'Alchimiste and prepare yourself for a night out in one of the bars or clubs. You'll find it all in this Bordeaux City Guide.
