The Wallen Travel Tips

The Red Light District is, of course, known for the women behind the red-lit windows, but it's also an incredibly hip area with many hotspots! This multicultural area in the heart of the city center is characterized by several main streets.

Warmoesstraat and Zeedijk are always bustling with lively pubs, bars, and eateries. For gift and vintage shopping, stroll through Damstraat and Oude Hoogstraat. Stop by Quartier Whore Oudekerksplein is a super cozy spot for a coffee break. On Saturdays, you can shop for fresh produce at the farmers' market in Nieuwmarkt. This square is also the perfect place to end the day with drinks or a bite to eat with friends in the evening. The famous cheese fondue at Cafe Bern is highly recommended! See below for a list of these and all the other hotspots in Amsterdam's Red Light District.
