TEquilla and rum at Calle Ocho Amsterdam
There’s a new cocktail bar in Amsterdam: Calle Ocho! And if you ask me, Amsterdam can never have enough cocktail bars! Perfect for a date-night for example. But I also like to go with friends for a fun evening in town. Fortunately, Calle Ocho, is open till long after midnight for drinks.
At Calle Ocho in De Pijp they serve really good cocktails. Prepared with the best tequila and rum and only fresh ingredients. I call a Pornstar Margarita for women (don’t get scared by the name), or an Malle Babbe with Dutch Jopen beer for the men. And what you really must try: the Frozen margarita!
Not only are you going to Calle Ocho for the best tequila and rum cocktails. They also serve delicious small dishes! Inspired by the South American (where among the Cuban, Mexican, Caribbean) kitchen. Tacos, ceviche and nachos. But they also have a Dominican style sea bream in banana leaves. Extra nice: everything is homemade here and the menu changes weekly. You understand: this new spot on the Albert Cuijp is on our favourite list already!
