Cafe Tepoz Amsterdam is a place unlike any we have seen before. At least, not if you have never travelled to Mexico, as Mexican all-day brunch spots are widespread there. We must say: it was about time Amsterdam got to know them.

Atmosphere and interior at Cafe Tepoz Amsterdam
The interior of Tepoz is very pleasant and bright. It almost feels as if the sun is always shining, thanks to the light walls, the light wood, and the round shapes of the interior. If you think it looks Scandinavian, you’re mistaken: the decoration reveals that this is a truly Mexican establishment. The atmosphere is relaxed, as though you’re on holiday. The staff (a family from Tepoztlán, Mexico) prepares and serves your food with the utmost love and care, making you want to stay all afternoon.
Menu and dishes at Cafe Tepoz
The menu consists of both sweet and savoury options. Tip: try both, and share the dishes with the rest of your party. The watermelon salad is a hit, but the breakfast taco is also a must-try. It’s filled with scrambled eggs, black beans, white cream cheese, and chilli. Anyone who has been to Mexico knows that the tacos there taste just as good as those at Café Tepoz. For sweet treats, you’ll want to try the concha; it doesn’t get more Mexican than that. Pair it with an agua fresca (available in various flavours) and your experience is complete.
