Barolo says they bring ‘la dolce vita’ to Amsterdam Oud-Zuid. We can’t help but agree that this is true and that this place offers everything that makes life more beautiful. Besides amazing pizzas, they have some sharing dishes, including burrata with Pomodoro tomatoes, pane carasau and basil sauce.

Right across from restaurant Fiko, owners Serena and Giuseppe have opened a luxury version, Fikissimo. This place reflects their passion for food. The menu, like Amsterdam, is a melting pot of nationalities. The chefs combine a traditional Italian base with Mediterranean and Asian influences. The burrata is imported directly from Apulia and is served with tomatoes from the same region and homemade pesto.

For all wine lovers, we recommend Oocker at Frederiksplein. The owners, Tim Meyer Viol and Niels van der Werf are experienced sommeliers who have compiled a spectacular wine list.
