BunBun Amsterdam is the hotspot and place to be for croissant lovers. At BunBun, you can enjoy hand-rolled croissants made in-house, plain or in various flavours. From savoury to sweet, everyone can find something they like here.

The atmosphere and interior of BunBun Amsterdam

BunBun is a tiny spot at the top of the Prinsengracht, at the edge of Westerstraat and adjacent to the Noordermarkt. It’s the place you’ve likely walked past or perhaps avoided on weekends because of the crowds. But that’s about to change, as the scent of BunBun alone will tempt you to dive back into the hustle and bustle of the city centre.

You might know this place from the previous Oatly Soft Serve pop-up shop or the pop-up bakery that sold crompouces. Before these different pop-ups, there was an ice cream shop here. BunBun is here to stay – because what could be more timeless than a good cinnamon bun or fresh croissant? You don’t need to be a tourist to be tempted by these treats.

Menu and dishes at BunBun Amsterdam

At BunBun, it’s all about homemade croissants and buns. This goes beyond the traditional chocolate and almond croissants, as they also serve the famous square croissants filled with pistachio (you won’t believe the taste!), cheesecake filling, apple cinnamon, and other sweet flavours. Do you prefer something savoury? You’re in the right place. The bun with burrata, pesto, and Parma ham is a must-try, as is the bacon and cheese variant. And, of course, good coffee belongs with such a bun, and you can order that at BunBun, too—another reason to explore this hotspot.

If you’re in the city but find the queue too long or prefer classic pastries, why not visit Pantopia on the Kerkstraat.

Tip: these (new) hotspots are also in the Jordaan:
