Do you like to go out for dinner at least three times a week (or more)? Well, we do! Because it’s the most fun thing to do. Nothing better than sitting at the table with your loved ones and catching up while getting delicious dishes served, we like! One disadvantage: it’s expensive! At the end of every month there’s more month than money left over, sounds familiar? No worries, we don’t have to change our eating out behaviour.. No we will live on a budget! We collected the 20 x coolest budget restaurants in Amsterdam with mains for about 15 euro.

What makes Sotto such a special place? They made pizza their specialty there! Not just standard pizzas, no we’re talking the Neapolitans Pizza type of pizza. The chefs at Sotto have learned how to make the best Neapolitans pizza at the Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana. Next to that they learned how to make them at pizza restaurants in Naples. These delicious creations are now made in Amsterdam, especially for you. For less than 15 euro! Another plus… the pizzas are made in wood ovens, tasty!

In summertime you can take a seat at the large picnic tables outside and in wintertime you can comfortably sit inside while its raining outside!

Order a nice piece of steak for only 12.50 euro and a side order for 3,50 euro and you will have a whole meal for only 16 euro! Not just a whole meal, but one of the best meat meals in Amsterdam. The steaks at Cannibale Royale (on the Spui and in De Pijp) are soooooo tasty. For only that much money you are not planning on cooking your own food, do you? Bon appetit!

The Foodhallen in Amsterdam West are maybe not that cheap but if you play it smart, you can fill your stomach for only 15 euro for sure. Take for example a plateau with falafel and all sorts of hummus or a burger with fries. The sushi is also very tasty and filling!

One of Yourlbb favourites is: Thrill Grill. The burgers at this restaurant in De Pijp are super tasty. There is a choice in meat, fish and salmon! The burgers are all below 10 euros so you can even order fries or a salad on the side, yummy! Extra nice: they also opened a Thrill Grill in West now, since the end of November.

Especially for winter Noorderlicht in Amsterdam North added a winter menu to the menu. For only 13,50 euro you can get a daily changing vegetable mash with meat or a vegetarian meatball. You can spend a little more? For only 19,50 euro you can order a 3-course wintermenu!

Chicken is popular in Amsterdam. Maybe that is why Rotisserie Amsterdam just opened their second location in East! Here you order a half or a whole chicken with sides. Is East a little too far for you? There is also a location in West!

Another newbie: Lalotta Pizzabar in Amsterdam-East. Here you can eat the most delicious pizzas for no more than €10 euros. But if you really want to make the best deal, then go for the special pizzas. For example, the Tartufo Blanco or the one with pomegranate. They cost around €15 euros and we guarantee, it’s worth the price ;-)

We are staying on the Clerqstraat for a little longer because here you can also eat pretty cheap at Van ‘t Spit. Half a chicken is 10 euro but you do have to order some sides. The applesauce is really tasty. Tip: take a friend and share the fries and applesauce :-) They also have a location in De Pijp!

Looking for a quick, simple yet delicious meal? Then the Spaghetteria is your answer. In De Pijp as well as in West they serve six different pastas every day. All around 9 euros and you won’t be hungry after.

The Biertuin (Beer garden) has the best chicken and burgers of Amsterdam, according to the newspaper Het Parool. So if you are out on a budget night… Go to the Biertuin! Half a chicken with fries, a salad and applesauce is only 14,95 euro! That is having a feast for hardly anything :-)

At Happyhappyjoyjoy you can eat very nice food for almost nothing! This restaurant in Amsterdam West serves Asian mains below 15 euro. The concept is sharing, but if you order a curry with jasmine rice (for yourself) you will be full for sure! Obviously it is nice to share something so maybe share a snack, like dim sum as a starter, with your table partners. Makes it cheaper for everyone :-) Is West too far away for you? Their second location in East just openend!
