5 Bucket List Trips – Near and Far – for Anyone with Wanderlust

There are bucket list trips you can look forward to for years before you even take them. That's not surprising, because most bucket list trips are incredibly expensive. Don't feel like saving for years, but still want to visit the most beautiful places in the world? We've compiled a list of a few. bucketlist. Destinations you can easily visit on a smaller budget. Sometimes the plane ticket is the investment, but it's easily affordable once you're there. Other times, the flight is short and affordable! These are bucket list trips that are on my personal list to return to (again).

Cappadocia (Turkey): Turkey may be known as the land of cheap all-inclusive hotels, but did you know this country has so much more to offer? Take Cappadocia, a region in Turkey This vast landscape is brimming with beautiful valleys and caves, and Mount Erciyes is also located here. Tip: fly over the landscape in a hot air balloon for an unforgettable experience, as you can see in the photo at the top of this list.

Machu Picchu (Peru): Peru is a beautiful country to begin with, and it's still at the top of my bucket list. The ancient city of Machu Picchu was built by the Incas and remains breathtakingly beautiful. It's a tourist attraction, and there are only a limited number of entrance tickets available each day, so plan ahead!

Havana (Cuba): Cuba's rich culture has always appealed to me, and I hope to visit the capital, Havana, someday. Explore the city during the day, and enjoy the most delicious cocktails and sultry salsa music in the evening. I was there for the first time 10 years ago and would love to go back, perhaps before it becomes too Americanized.

Chiang Mai (Thailand): If you've been following Your Little Black Book for a while, you know I love Thailand Chiang Mai is located north of Bangkok and is one of Thailand's most popular cities. I first visited 20 years ago, and I'm incredibly curious to see how the city has developed. That's why it's a destination we'll definitely visit during our world trip. Or maybe even sooner!

Reykjavik (Iceland): Reykjavik is easy to visit from the Netherlands, it's only a three-hour flight. However, Reykjavik isn't a very popular holiday destination. Tired of sunny beach holidays and looking for a unique experience? Then Reykjavik Your city! From here, you can take some of the most beautiful excursions. Tip: To admire the Northern Lights, it's best to travel to Reykjavik during the winter months (October through March).
