The most beautiful hotel I've ever stayed in is the Amanwella in Sri Lanka. The hotel—you can hardly call it that, it's more like an island—is located in the town of Tangalle on the south coast. Right outside your stunning villa lies an Expedition Robinson-style beach with pristine white sand, clear blue water, wild waves, and a sea of ​​beer-bottle-green palm trees. You'll literally feel like Tom Hanks in Cast Away. Your villa has a private pool, a gigantic bathtub, and a terrace overlooking the palm trees. And then there's breakfast... Only the freshest produce appears on your plate—think fruit in every color of the rainbow and a perfectly fried egg. Starting your day here with a view of all that beauty will make you feel like a god in France. In short, you absolutely must spend a night here.
