Doubletree by Hilton Amsterdam: cool hotel at the NDSM wharf

24 January 2015

Sleep at the NDSM Wharf at Doubletree by Hilton!

Do you like hotels in raw parts of cities just as much as I do? Then the Doubletree by Hilton in Amsterdam North is the hotel for you. A golden tip for everyone who likes to party at the festivals at the NDSM wharf and you don’t want to drive home. They often have free tickets for the festival for their guests (just saying…). Even though I live in Amsterdam, I just love a staycation in my own town. One of the most fun things to do! Especially when it’s a hotel with a view at the NDSM wharf.

Doubletree by Hilton is a budget design hotel. The rooms are really nice and comfortable, but you don’t pay too much. While the view is amazing if you stay at the IJ-lake side of the hotel.

Rooms x Doubletree by Hilton Amsterdam

The rooms have glass over the whole length which is really cool. There’s a Nespresso machine so when you wake up in the morning you can enjoy your coffee in bed with view on the NDSM wharf. So nice! Rooms at the Doubletree by Hilton are modern and rested with design furniture. After breakfast it’s fun to explore the NDSM wharf to check out the street art. Or maybe you can hit one of the festivals ;-).

NDSM Wharf & the North side

In the area around the Brooklyn Hotel there are many cool restaurants. One of the best at the NDSM wharf is Bistro Noord or check out PLLEK which is a very relaxed hangout. Other nice restaurants in Amsterdam North are: Cafe Modern, Hotel De Goudfazant, Stork, EYE museum & restaurant and Cafe de Ceuvel.
