Box Sociaal Amsterdam: New all-day spot near Artis

YUM! Crunchy mac and cheese balls at Box Sociaal Amsterdam

De Plantage Middenlaan is hot and happening at the moment. Of course, a day at Artis is always fun, the spot The Birdhouse is opening soon, and De Plantage remains one of my favorites for dinner. And now, Box Sociaal has quietly opened in the neighborhood too! The two owners are of Australian descent and love mixing this with Dutch cuisine. For instance, they have Holtkamp bitterballen, but also crunchy Mac and Cheese balls that I definitely want to try. They also have various breakfast bowls and sandwiches. All with an Australian twist here and there, though the coffee beans are locally brewed.

Don't forget to check out the cocktail menu! There's a Stroopwafel Espresso Martini on the menu, as well as mimosas. Box Sociaal Amsterdam is open seven days a week from 9:00 AM to 11:00 PM. We'll definitely be stopping by soon to try out this new spot!
