Bistro Vincent Amsterdam: the great hotspot near the Van Gogh Museum

Emma

June 4, 2025

Bistro Vincent Amsterdam is the new hotspot at the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam. A great place for all ages, museum visitors, and museum card holders alike. Yes, you do need a museum ticket to dine here. But it's more than worth it, with a cuisine that combines Japanese, French, and Dutch influences—just as Van Gogh did in his paintings.

Ambience and interior at Bistro Vincent Amsterdam

The interior of Bistro Vincent (on the first floor of the Van Gogh Museum) is modern and sleek, with a touch of cheerful color. The bistro is a pleasant extension of the museum, with a color scheme that coordinates with Van Gogh's works.

Noteworthy: the cozy bistro at the museum is gaining popularity. Recent examples include Sandberg and Fonda at the Stedelijk Museum, and Metro (Noord) at the NXT Museum has also been a hit for years.

Menu and dishes at Bistro Vincent

The dishes at Bistro Vincent are created and conceived by Uma Concepts and originate from all corners of the globe, based on the countries Van Gogh painted or used as inspiration for his work. You'll find influences from Dutch, Japanese, and French cuisine at this bistro. Take, for example, the onion soup or croque monsieur, made with local ingredients for a Dutch touch.

Are you traveling with a larger group? You can make a reservation for 10 people or more.

Tip: Go for the shared dining option, because the dishes here are all equally special. The chicken katsu burger is a must, preferably with a glass of Christoffle champagne.

Those with a sweet tooth will love the lemon meringue pie, the "sun cake," or the "sunflower cake" (from Patisserie Linnick), whose inspiration is clearly evident. Want more? Then grab a DIY sunflower cake kit to take home.

Bistro Vincent is perfect for lunch and coffee during your museum visit

Whether you have something to celebrate with a large group or are just settling in for coffee and cake or lunch during your museum visit: Bistro Vincent is always welcoming and the doors are always open.

If you only go to one terrace in Amsterdam this weekend, make it @caferestaurant.meyer! What a great addition to the Amstelveld 😍. Open from 10am, a very nice lunch menu, a wine list with a bottle of rosé for €20, but also olive ice cream with caviar (incredibly delicious!). I'll be back soon to try the evening menu too. Tip: you can make a reservation on the terrace! And did I mention there's a playground next door? Have a great weekend 😘 🖊️ @anne_de_buck PS: follow @yourlbb & @yourlbb.amsterdam for more Amsterdam tips and travel guides for destinations around the world. ___________________________________________ Best terrace in Amsterdam, best new terrace in Amsterdam, lunch in amsterdam, family friendly amsterdam
My fav spot for freddo cappuccino in Amsterdam that transports me back to Greece. Add a slice of spanakopita and you have the best breakfast to enjoy along the Amstel river. My motto for the coming spring is to take more walks, so expect a lot of recs for coffee and other drinks to go in this new series! ☀️ Where should I go next? ✖️✖️✖️ 🖊️ @anne_de_buck
**Due to COVID-19, souvenirs are now available in bulk ❄️ Note to self: always keep room in your suitcase for 'souvenirs'. During my ski trip to Méribel, I popped into the local pharmacy just before leaving, and these are the beauty products I took home. I've tested them extensively and they're all more than YLBB-approved. Save them for your next trip to France (or your online beauty store). Which souvenirs always make it back in your suitcase? I'm curious! ✖️✖️✖️ 🖊️ @anne_de_buck PS: Follow @yourlbb for tons of tips to make the most of your free time — from travel tips to travel guides and more.
