You probably follow Your Little Black Book to be the first to know about new restaurants opening. Sometimes we know something is coming, but there's simply almost nothing known about the concept, menu, or interior yet, and all we see is a logo on an Instagram page. Sometimes a lot is known and we know the chefs or team, but there's no exact opening date yet. Either way, we don't want to deprive you of the scoop at the coffee machine at work, so we'll be telling you all about what's coming up in Amsterdam all year round. As soon as we know more, we'll tell you all about it in a more detailed article!

New culinary addresses and restaurants in Amsterdam that will open soon
Restobar No Nonsense
Within walking distance of Amsterdam Central Station, No Nonsense, a restobar that fills the sweet spot between pub and restaurant, is opening. The opening takes place on October 4th, and the first images look promising—and cozy!
Geldersekade 5, Amsterdam – Instagram
Café Vita Lente
A new addition to one of the city's most vibrant bars and restaurants: Café Vita Lente on Jan Pieter Heijestraat. A place where you can enjoy a relaxed atmosphere, accompanied by coffee, wine, vermouth, sandwiches, and snacks.

Bar Steel
Later this year, Bar Staal will open in the Schinkelbuurt neighborhood, under the ownership of Vooges. Expectations are high, as this promises to be a delightful all-day dining spot by the water—and we can never get enough of those!
Bouillon D'Amsterdam
Opening in early 2026 is Bouillon D'Amsterdam, an ode to the Parisian bouillon so beloved by many French people. The restaurant will be located on Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal and will be a modern take on the timeless and classic bouillon restaurants of France.
New location Le Smash
Le Smash is booming and recently opened a new location on Javastraat. We previously wrote about it. their fine business in West, but luckily the East can now also get to know their delicious smash burgers.
Jinja Amsterdam
We're always up for a good Asian bar & kitchen. Soon, we'll be adding Jinja Amsterdam, a real winner. This place combines good food, drinks, music, and design. Jinja refers to a Japanese term that means something like "Shinto shrine"—a place where a spirit is worshipped.
De Clercqstraat 79, Amsterdam – Instagram
KID reopens its doors
It's not yet clear where in Amsterdam, but it's definitely happening: KID is reopening its doors. Here's hoping they'll have their spicy sea bass crudo back on the menu...
Hendrik Amsterdam
At Hendruk, they've been making artisanal pancakes since 1967 – the ideal hotspot for Dutch gourmets, in other words. What's new about this place is that it's coming to Amsterdam. Their other location is in Vreeland.
Ruysdaelstraat 50, Amsterdam – amsterdam.restauranthendrik.nl
&Japonism
Tamariya was briefly located here, but it has since transitioned to &Japonism. It will be a rice and matcha restaurant where Japanese traditions converge. More information will follow – we're eagerly awaiting it!
Cafe Bica
The owners of Bam Bao will soon be opening Café Bica on Weesperzijde. Bica means espresso in Portuguese, and you'll find plenty of that here. Alongside a variety of other delicacies, of course, such as matcha, homemade pastries, and specialty coffee.

Tako Dining
Rumor has it that the team behind YUZU is reportedly opening a taco restaurant. Other than modern-style Mexican dining, little is known yet. To be continued…
Kazue
Just like Café Wiener (see below), Kazue Amsterdam will soon open at Toren Overhoeks. As part of the Maritim Hotel, this will be Amsterdam-Noord's go-to Japanese restaurant. At this bar, you'll enjoy an extensive tea menu (including matcha) and unique, Japanese-inspired cocktails.

Viennese Café Amsterdam
Wiener Café Amsterdam will soon open at the Maritim Hotel. This hotel promises to be a unique melting pot, with meeting rooms for over 4500 people, 579 hotel rooms, and various food and beverage outlets, including Wiener Café. It will be the hotel's living room, where guests and local residents can enjoy a cup of coffee and a newspaper, or one of the Austrian à la carte dishes.

Loef Amsterdam
Loef Amsterdam will soon open its doors at the Maritim Hotel in Amsterdam-Noord (opening this summer). Other than the fact that it will be an all-day restaurant, there's still no word yet, but Noord will definitely have a new hotspot this summer.

Miznon Amsterdam
After locations in London, Barcelona, Paris, Melbourne, and many other cities, Miznon is finally settling in Amsterdam. At Ferdinand Bolstraat 16, you'll soon be able to enjoy fresh Israeli street food, resulting in the most unique flavors.

First of all: thank you for being here to close out 2025 <3.
2025, you were everything I hoped you would be and more. So many new memories.
I don't yet know what 2026 will bring, but last year was one for the books. Highlights included trips to China, Mexico City, Egypt, and exploring the English countryside.
Entrepreneurs probably recognize that 2025 was not an easy year.
When I started Your Little Black Book, I had one dream: not to work to stay somewhere for free in exchange for content and the pressure of a "picture perfect" experience. But to use my revenue models to book and experience those special places myself, as a guest instead of an influencer, and to give you honest tips.
After almost 15 years of entrepreneurship, I'm so happy with the balance between editorial and commercial work and that I can also say no to things that don't feel right.
At the same time, it's still special that destinations, airlines, and hotels hire me to create a customized Little Black Book for them. I have complete freedom with these campaigns, and I believe in the value of these content-based tips that truly suit your taste. And they come from me personally, not from a machine.

This will always be my dream job, the one I created almost 15 years ago. I still do as much as possible myself. That's energizing—from both successes and failures.
