Bij Storm Amsterdam: the beachy winter get-away

2 February 2016

bij storm is the best kept secret of amsterdam east

Have you already been to Bij Storm in Zeeburg (in Amsterdam East)? Big chance you haven’t because Bij Storm is a very well kept pearl in Amsterdam. Even we hadn’t heard of it until recently. Shame on us! It’s kind of a shame that we haven’t been to Bij Storm before, because the restaurant turns out to be a nice spot with a city beach. Just like Pllek in North en Blijburg in IJburg, for example.

For both lunch and dinner this is the spot to go. Classical dishes like pumpkin soup, vitello tonnato and hog on a stick: the dishes are not super exciting, but always good. Not feeling beachy at all? Well, get over it! Also during winter times Bij Storm is a perfect spot to relax and settle down. You can go sailing on the beach if you want to go all active, or enjoy a nice drink. For now their restaurant is only open on Saturdays and Sundays till 18:00hrs. But make sure you check their Facebook, because they have a lot of winter activities. Bij Storm is also a good spot to go with your little one. Just put the small one on the beach and you’re good to go ;-).
