Drinking beer for men? No way. These days, there are so many different kinds of beer that there's truly something for everyone. I'm a big fan of "Gebrouwen door Vrouwen" (Brewed by Women), which tastes great not only in summer but especially in winter. The great thing about beer, just like wine, is that it's increasingly being paired with food. Whether it's literally in the dish itself (a beer stew is truly delicious!) or simply complementing the dish. Drinking beer is hot! And that's why I went out in Amsterdam to test the best, most unique, and largest beer bars in the city. Enjoy these 18 best beer bars in Amsterdam!

@eetcafe_de_reiger is the spot to remember.
Cozy, casual, and a seasonal menu. This one was on my list to share for a year and finally it's (almost) asparagus season again! 🤤
Another plus? Prices are very reasonable here!
📍 Eetcafé de Reiger
Jordaan, Amsterdam City Centre
Save this spot for when you're craving warm Dutch traditional dishes in the heart of Amsterdam.
And did you hear the same team took over Eetcafé van Beeren? I can't wait to go there too!

A cookbook from Grandma. Three Michelin stars. And a beautiful 70s villa in a quiet neighborhood in Bangkok, where you are welcomed as if you were at the chefs' home.
The Sühring brothers do not cook based on trends; they cook from memories. Of their grandmother's farm, of the flavors of their youth in Germany, and of techniques passed down through generations.
@relaischateaux invited me to experience Sühring during a solo lunch, and this is truly my ultimate definition of culinary self-care.
This was a surprising afternoon in Bangkok, where I ate the best German food I have ever tasted. And that in a city where I normally avoid European restaurants. Well, for @restaurant_suhring, you really want to make that exception.
Signature dishes that I still think back to regularly?
🍴 Labskaus with caviar
🍴 Enleta waffle with Pfalz vinegar
🍴 Game pie
🍴 Dry aged Duck
TIP: If you go to Sühring, reserve the seats at the kitchen bar so you have a view of the chefs at work!

In this reels I take you along for fine dining in Bangkok at the three Michelin starred restaurant Sühring.

This is one of the nicest free outings in the spring! Did you know that you can gather (or pick, for the connoisseurs 😉) oysters yourself in various places in the Netherlands? I’m in Zeeland for a bit this weekend, and if we can, we’ll go again.
📍In this video, I show where you can fill your bucket.
Comment oester for the comprehensive guide with all details about all 8 locations + handy tips and rules.
Important to know:
– Max. 10 kilos per person (≈ 1 bucket)
– For personal use only
– Do not scoop or scrape the soil
– Go at low tide
Handy to take with you:
Bucket, screwdriver, boots, work gloves, tea towel, clean clothes and garbage bags (for the oysters and dirty clothes).
And of course: also bring an oyster knife, lemon and champagne 🍋🥂Because you want to taste something right away!
The oyster season runs from September to about April / early May, so now that the water isn't so cold, this is the perfect outing.
In the full guide, I share exactly where you can easily find them without much effort. Leave a comment and I'll send it to you right away!
Who do you want to go oyster collecting with soon?

But plenty of nice hotspots!!

TaproomThis beer café has a whopping 24 beers on tap. They also have a sunny terrace and great pub food. My favorite brewery here? The Amsterdam Brewing Company (or ABC) is, as the name suggests, local and has really good beer. Cool: About once a month they offer a free beer tasting from different breweries!
New Vijzelstraat 1, Amsterdam – taproom.nl
Cafe GollemA true classic when it comes to beer bars in Amsterdam. They now have four locations in Amsterdam, but the one on Overtoom remains my favorite. Keep an eye on the website; they often have fun pub quizzes! Besides the beers on tap, they have over 180 (!) bottled beers.
Overtoom 161, Daniel Stalpertstraat 74, Raamsteeg 4, Amstelstraat 34, Amsterdam – cafegollem.nl
TapZuid: TapZuid doesn't look like a typical beer pub at first glance. But appearances can be deceiving, they even have trained beer sommeliers! And they're happy to help you with your choice. Besides the wide selection of beers, the sunny terrace is a big plus.
Maasstraat 70, Amsterdam – tapzuid.amsterdam

Tap South, Amsterdam
Craft & Draft: This beer café has a whopping 40 beers on tap and over 100 in bottles. Located in Vondelpark, you can also order a growler to take with you. It's a 1-liter bottle of freshly tapped beer of your choice. So you'll have your favorite beer for a day at the park!
Overtoom 417, Amsterdam – craftdraft.nl
Tasting room Arendsnest: What makes this beer café special is that they only serve Dutch beers. The staff here are truly knowledgeable about beer, and you can also join one of the frequent beer tastings.
Herengracht 90, Amsterdam – Arendsnest.nl
Delirium Café: Those indecisive might want to skip this spot. When it comes to beer selection, this one's the winner, with over 720 bottled beers! Fun fact: at the first Delirium Café, in Brussels, they had 3162 bottled beers – a world record.
Piet Heinkade 4-8, Amsterdam – deliriumcafeamsterdam.nl
BRET Beer Café: Even non-beer lovers will love this spot. They have a lovely, sunny, green terrace, and the food is good too. It's no wonder this has become a hotspot: it's from the same company as Hanneke's Boom!
Orlyplein 76, Amsterdam – bret.bar
Brewery 't IJNot entirely surprisingly, all the beer they sell here comes from Brouwerij 't IJ. What might surprise you is how extensive the selection actually is! I have to admit, I was mainly familiar with their wheat beer and IPA, but they truly have something for everyone. And the patio is a big plus!
Funenkade 7, Amsterdam – brouwerijhetij.nl

The Beer Garden, Amsterdam
The Beer Garden: During the day, you can enjoy a delicious lunch here, and in the evening, enjoy a refreshing drink or a delicious dinner. To complement the twelve classic main courses on the menu, you can choose from 25 beers on tap or one of the 120 bottled beers.
Prinsengracht 494, Amsterdam – Debiertuin.nl
Café Ham: Besides the 24 specialty beers on tap and 20 other bottled beers, Café Hesp also brews its own beer, Hesp Blond. Which beer will you try?
Weesperzijde 130, Amsterdam – Cafehesp.nl
Tapperij de eeuwige jeugd: As the name suggests, these beers keep us eternally young. Six different beers, each with its own unique story. Which one is your favorite? Try them at the Tapperij.
Linnaeusstraat 37A, Amsterdam – Deeeuwigejeugd.nl
Café de PraelAt Cafe de Prael, it's all about the perfect combination of people and beer. A cozy evening with good company and a delicious glass of beer. With more than 10 different beers, you'll always find something new to try.
Old Side Armsteeg 26, Amsterdam – Deprael.nl
Oeidipeus TaproomFrom Thursday to Sunday, you're welcome to come and relax, enjoy delicious beers, and tour the Oeidipeus brewery. Besides enjoying the delicious fresh beer on Fresh Beer Friday, you can also enjoy the tunes played by the various guests who stop by.
Filled-in Hamerkanaal 85, Amsterdam – Oedipus.com
Tap room t' Blauwe Theehuis: Whether it's summer or winter, a pleasant stroll through Vondelpark is always a good idea! After or during your walk, be sure to stop at the Blauwe Theehuis (Blue Tea House) for a delicious beer from the IJ brewery.
Vondelpark 5, Amsterdam – Brouwerijhetij.nl
Consolation: At Troost, you can sample delicious Amsterdam-brewed beers. Have something to celebrate or a fun night out with friends? Reserve a tap and pour your own beer all night long.
Multiple locations in Amsterdam – Brouwerijtroost.nl

Diligence, Amsterdam
Diligence: We're thrilled that the NDSM Wharf is constantly adding more and more exciting new hotspots! Have you ever been to IJver? It's a cozy café where we love to enjoy a beer. Stop by IJver and kick off the weekend with friends, enjoying your own beer tap at your table.
Shipbuilding Quay 72, Amsterdam – IJveramsterdam.nl
Café Joost: Once a month, various brewers take over the bar at Café Joost. During this bar takeover, you'll learn all about yeast and hop varieties, see beer launches, and enjoy a tasting session.
Molukkenstraat 33, Amsterdam – Check Facebook to see when the next takeover will take place >>
Foeders Amsterdam: In the middle of De Pijp You'll find the neighborhood café Foeders. The café boasts 42 taps. And to keep surprising and offering tastings, a completely new beer is added after each empty keg.
Ceintuurbaan 257, Amsterdam – Foeders.amsterdam
