18 Beer Cafes in Amsterdam You Want to Know

Drinking beer for men? No way. These days, there are so many different kinds of beer that there's truly something for everyone. I'm a big fan of "Gebrouwen door Vrouwen" (Brewed by Women), which tastes great not only in summer but especially in winter. The great thing about beer, just like wine, is that it's increasingly being paired with food. Whether it's literally in the dish itself (a beer stew is truly delicious!) or simply complementing the dish. Drinking beer is hot! And that's why I went out in Amsterdam to test the best, most unique, and largest beer bars in the city. Enjoy these 18 best beer bars in Amsterdam!

Come with me to get breakfast in Taipei 🥢 Straight from the airport to this little spot to taste soup dumplings and so much more! That's what I call a soft landing 😉
Just back from Catalonia and I thought: I'll share some tips right away. During our road trip, we stayed two nights in the Ebro Delta. An incredibly fun stop for families and foodies alike, where there is plenty to do. · A boat trip to the Musclarium is a must! Here you eat oysters and mussels straight from the farm, in the middle of the sea. · Admire the flamingos and black ibises that can be found here all year round. · Rice is grown in the Ebro Delta all year round. For paella, but Kensho also makes sake and miso from it! You can visit them during a tasting. · Cycling along the rice fields, canoeing on the Ebro River, and visiting various beaches. It was still a bit too cold now, but there is plenty to do. · The towns are very low-key and not that exciting, but you can find fantastic local food there. From the Michelin-awarded Les Moles* to local eateries like Vermuteria Bonmarisc and Lo Tinglado. We ate a lot of fish, but also anemone fritters (a first!). Now back to work, and I’m going to create an extensive travel guide of this road trip through Catalonia, but you’ll want to save these tips for a future adventure. ✖️✖️✖️ 🖊️ @anne_de_buck { In this post, I share tips for the Ebro Delta in Spain (Delta de l'Ebre). PUUR JONNIE, an ode to Jonnie Boer. Today I had the honor of being at @delibrijezwolle for the book launch of @jonnie_en_therese. I spent the entire evening reading and browsing. WHAT A BOOK. What stories. WHAT AN ODE. Love, Nature, Pioneer, Fatherhood, Music, Jonnie's Foundation, Friendship, Suppliers, Local products, Relaxation, Entrepreneurship, Humor & The pure human being. Everything is covered, beautifully written by @joel.broekaert. With contributions from, among others, @nelsontanate, @rekkebus, @ronblaauwtje, @jorisbijdendijk, @sidney_schutte & @hvw043. Thanks for the wonderful afternoon @jonnie_en_therese 💚 PUUR JONNIE, Available from April 14 at your local bookstore (and online) 🖊️ @anne_de_buck

You'll want to keep these beer cafes in Amsterdam on your radar

TaproomThis beer café has a whopping 24 beers on tap. They also have a sunny terrace and great pub food. My favorite brewery here? The Amsterdam Brewing Company (or ABC) is, as the name suggests, local and has really good beer. Cool: About once a month they offer a free beer tasting from different breweries!
New Vijzelstraat 1, Amsterdam – taproom.nl

Cafe GollemA true classic when it comes to beer bars in Amsterdam. They now have four locations in Amsterdam, but the one on Overtoom remains my favorite. Keep an eye on the website; they often have fun pub quizzes! Besides the beers on tap, they have over 180 (!) bottled beers.
Overtoom 161, Daniel Stalpertstraat 74, Raamsteeg 4, Amstelstraat 34, Amsterdam – cafegollem.nl

TapZuid: TapZuid doesn't look like a typical beer pub at first glance. But appearances can be deceiving, they even have trained beer sommeliers! And they're happy to help you with your choice. Besides the wide selection of beers, the sunny terrace is a big plus.

Craft & Draft: This beer café has a whopping 40 beers on tap and over 100 in bottles. Located in Vondelpark, you can also order a growler to take with you. It's a 1-liter bottle of freshly tapped beer of your choice. So you'll have your favorite beer for a day at the park!

Tasting room Arendsnest: What makes this beer café special is that they only serve Dutch beers. The staff here are truly knowledgeable about beer, and you can also join one of the frequent beer tastings.
Herengracht 90, Amsterdam – Arendsnest.nl

Delirium Café: Those indecisive might want to skip this spot. When it comes to beer selection, this one's the winner, with over 720 bottled beers! Fun fact: at the first Delirium Café, in Brussels, they had 3162 bottled beers – a world record.
Piet Heinkade 4-8, Amsterdam – deliriumcafeamsterdam.nl

BRET Beer Café: Even non-beer lovers will love this spot. They have a lovely, sunny, green terrace, and the food is good too. It's no wonder this has become a hotspot: it's from the same company as Hanneke's Boom!
Orlyplein 76, Amsterdam – bret.bar

Brewery 't IJNot entirely surprisingly, all the beer they sell here comes from Brouwerij 't IJ. What might surprise you is how extensive the selection actually is! I have to admit, I was mainly familiar with their wheat beer and IPA, but they truly have something for everyone. And the patio is a big plus!
