7 Best Rooftop Bars in Hong Kong for Breathtaking Views

These rooftop bars in Hong Kong are perfect for cocktails

I mention it several times in my book "Wanderlust." One of the best things to do in a big city, in my opinion, is eat or drink cocktails at the city's most beautiful rooftop bars. Hong Kong is perfect for this! There are so many great rooftop bars in Hong Kong that you could spend almost a week visiting them all. Some of the rooftop and sky bars are so well-known that they've become a bit commercialized. But... let's be honest... the view is just as beautiful! As long as it's not cloudy or you're not there during the rainy season. I've been to Hong Kong many times and rarely have I had a completely clear view. So, if you want to visit the best rooftop bars in Hong Kong and it's a clear day... seize the opportunity!

7 of the best rooftop bars in Hong Kong for drinks

Cé La Vi (Lan Kwai Fong): One of Hong Kong's hippest rooftop bars is Cé La Vi in the Lan Kwai Fong entertainment district. If you're a barfly and enjoy partying late, you'll definitely want to visit this Hong Kong neighborhood after 22 pm. For the best spots, it's best to book a table in advance!

Wooloomooloo (Wan Chai):  The famous steakhouse Wooloo Mooloo, which also has a location in Singapore, has a rooftop bar in Hong Kong where you're literally nestled among the buildings. I always find it impressive to be surrounded by even taller skyscrapers on a rooftop terrace! It's highly recommended to go there before sunset to witness a truly special sunset in good weather.

Ozone (Hong Kong Island): Okay, okay, Ozone is actually a sky bar, because the outdoor area is actually quite small compared to the bar inside. It's one of those bars you have to visit once in Hong Kong. Just to be clear, I'll add that it's touristy ;-). On a clear day, you have a truly amazing view of Hong Kong Island. And if you're not much of a night owl, but you do love high tea, check out the Ritz Carlton website, because a few floors below, you can book a delicious high tea during the day in Hong Kong.

Sevva (Central): On a clear day, I still consider Sevva one of the best rooftop bars in Hong Kong. Its location is incredibly central, and the stools with lights give it a magical touch. You also have a great view of the 'Symphony of Lights' laser show across the harbor. You can also dine in the restaurant, but if you're looking for good restaurants in Hong Kong, you'd better check out our comprehensive guide for Yourlbb-approved tips!

Skye (Causeway Bay): Last year, I stayed at the Park Lane Hotel in Hong Kong, and the rooftop bar is definitely worth a visit even if you're not staying there. This rooftop bar in Hong Kong is located in the Causeway Bay district, and from here you have fantastic views of the harbor. Fun fact: this bar was designed by the same designer as the famous Sky Bar on the Lebua State Tower.

Duddell's (Central): We already wrote about the fact that you can enjoy a delicious lunch and brunch at Duddell's in this article extended blog postIf you're in Hong Kong and the weather is nice, Duddell's rooftop bar is a must-visit. The seating isn't very high, but that gives you the feeling of being in a big city, nestled among the buildings. The rooftop bar is a green oasis, and we'd love to have that bamboo furniture in our own garden!
