First of all: thank you for being here to close out 2025 <3.

2025, you were everything I hoped you would be and more. So many new memories.

I don't yet know what 2026 will bring, but last year was one for the books. Highlights included trips to China, Mexico City, Egypt, and exploring the English countryside.

Entrepreneurs probably recognize that 2025 was not an easy year.
When I started Your Little Black Book, I had one dream: not to work to stay somewhere for free in exchange for content and the pressure of a "picture perfect" experience. But to use my revenue models to book and experience those special places myself, as a guest instead of an influencer, and to give you honest tips.
After almost 15 years of entrepreneurship, I'm so happy with the balance between editorial and commercial work and that I can also say no to things that don't feel right.

At the same time, it's still special that destinations, airlines, and hotels hire me to create a customized Little Black Book for them. I have complete freedom with these campaigns, and I believe in the value of these content-based tips that truly suit your taste. And they come from me personally, not from a machine.
So thank you for your support when you see #yourlbbcollab, #pressstrip or #prinvited ;-).

This will always be my dream job, the one I created almost 15 years ago. I still do as much as possible myself. That's energizing—from both successes and failures.

NEW YEAR 🥰 ~ I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!

Soju Bar Amsterdam

How to spot a good Korean restaurant in Amsterdam? Anyone who regularly passes Ferdinand Bolstraat has probably noticed the line at the new Korean restaurant SOJU Bar! In the Pijp, around the corner from Marie Heinekenplein, SOJU Bar A must-visit for all your Korean food cravings. This hotspot is best known for its Korean Fried Chicken, specialty beers, and wide selection of soju flavors. But anyone who's ever dined at SOJU Bar knows this restaurant has even more to offer. You can try bibimbap (Korean rice dish with meat and vegetables), kimbap (Korean seaweed rice roll), and bingsu (shaved ice with condensed milk and tons of toppings!). But wait, there's more... Here, you'll truly feel like you're in Seoul, as Korean drinking games with soju and/or beer are played in every corner of the restaurant. They certainly love a drink and a good time here, as right in the middle of the room, there's, yes, a beer pong table! In short, you go to SOJU Bar for the food and stay for the atmosphere. Tip: make a reservation to skip the line!

Kim's So Korean Food

One of Amsterdam's newest Korean restaurants. You'll find this restaurant on a side street of Zeedijk, one of the city's best food streets for Asian food lovers, nestled in an alleyway in the Red Light District, still full of red-light windows. Perhaps you'll choose a different tip from this list for lunch with your kids ;-). If you're having dinner with friends and craving Korean food, this is the place to be from lunch until late. At lunchtime, you'll find Korean dishes, from dumplings to pancakes and tteokbokki to fried chicken. I was there for lunch, but the team told me that the menu changes completely in the evening, and that Korean barbecue is by far the most popular then. I'll definitely be back!

Motti is actually a Korean concept store, but since you can also grab a bite to eat there, I definitely want to share this tip with you in Amsterdam's Jordaan district. Go to Motti for specific Korean ingredients, as well as cookware that will help you cook even more delicious Korean food at home. I love cycling past it when I'm craving something tasty around lunchtime. They have things like Kimbab, kimchi toasted sandwiches, and more delicious treats to go or to enjoy on a stool by the window.

You might already know Seoul Sista from Rotterdam, but you can also tuck into all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ in the heart of Amsterdam. No culinary highlights, but it's delicious, and you'll know exactly what your budget is at the end of the evening. The interior is modern and trendy, the food turnover is incredibly fast, and I regularly go there with my son. They have special prices for kids, and choosing your own meal with a tablet is a breeze.

Chances are the last time you visited Lange Leidsedwarsstraat was back when you were a student. We get it! Still, we're putting this street back on your radar, because while you'll be bombarded with tourists plopped down at the first Argentinian they see, there are also a few interesting Asian restaurants you'll definitely want to know about. Like Hongdae Amsterdam, a Korean street food restaurant serving mouth-watering dishes. Anyone who's ever been to Korea will recognize the dishes from the street food stalls and bring back all those holiday memories!

One of the newest Korean barbecue restaurants in Amsterdam, and perhaps even the best! Gaja means LET'S GO, and that might just be what you do with your friends. So join us for an evening of all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ and other delicious dishes. They have different prices depending on the day of the week, and there's a special price for kids. Besides the restaurant, they also have a bar where you can order tasty snacks. The bar opens at noon, and the barbecue starts at 12.00:16.30 PM.

Restaurant Nomi Korean BBQ

If you're dining with friends who actually prefer sushi to Korean barbecue, Nomi is the place to be. Here, these two worlds collide while enjoying a delicious cocktail. Nomi holds any surprises, because thanks to the all-you-can-eat concept, you know exactly what you'll pay when you dine here. Some of the menu will look familiar, as you'll also find those dishes on the menu at the well-known all-you-can-eat sushi spot. But... what you definitely want to try at Nomi are the red bean-filled Korean waffles shaped like fish and the sliced ​​waguy, which you can order on the menu for an additional fee. So delicious!

Gangnam Chicken

Anyone who loves Korean fried chicken will definitely know Gangnam Chicken. They only do one thing here, and they do it incredibly well! I have to admit, when I eat Gangnam, I usually order it. Walking in and devouring this divine fast food right there is actually a better idea, because it's completely crunchy and super fresh.

The Patchka

De Patchka is the place to go for vegan Korean and Japanese food. This small eatery is located on Albert Cuypstraat in De Pijp, and its name comes from Japanese Depachika, the gourmet sections in department stores I absolutely love when I travel. All the dishes here are vegan and a bit more flavorful. They have a fixed menu, but also regularly change dishes, so there's always something new to discover!

Buitenveldert seems to be the epicenter of Korean cuisine in Amsterdam, or perhaps even the Netherlands. Not only will you find the amazing Korean supermarket Shilla on the GelderlandpleinIt's also teeming with Korean restaurants. Khan, for example, is housed in a less-than-attractive building on a deserted corner of the neighborhood. While it may not look inviting, the traditional Korean dishes are everything you could hope for.

Seoul Food

From the outside, Seoul Food looks like a small supermarket, but you can actually find amazing street food here. Both takeaway and dine-in! The menu includes typical Korean delicacies like kimchi, bibimbap, and pajeon. And a big plus: everything is freshly prepared.

Miss Korea

A list of Korean restaurants in Amsterdam simply can't leave out Korean barbecue. And where else would you go than Miss Korea? The well-known all-you-can-eat barbecue concept lets you grill to your heart's content on your own BBQs, but also serves Japanese dishes. The best of both worlds, in other words. This low-key spot is a favorite of team YOURLBB!

Damso

Damso is secretly just outside the city limits, but who cares? Just like at Khan, you'll find the best Korean food you'll taste outside of Korea here in a low-key atmosphere.

We're heading back to Buitenveldert, because Restaurant Korea on Van Boshuizenstraat is another must-see. They opened their doors in 1983 and have been a favorite with many fans of traditional Korean cuisine ever since. Here you can eat everything from bulgogi to chonkol and everything in between.

The Bab

The first location of The Bab, the Korean hotspot for simple Korean dishes, opened on the corner of Ruyschstraat and Camperstraat, on the edge of Amsterdam East and De Pijp. Besides bibimbap (hence the name), you can also find other dishes like Korean pancakes, gimbab (a type of sushi roll), and more. A bonus: most dishes can be made vegan upon request. The Bab has become a household name in the city, with locations in East, De Pijp, and West.
