When I travel, I'm always on the lookout for the best coffee bars in town. Yogyakarta is no exception! Because Yogyakarta is a student city, you'll find a surprising number of great coffee bars where the baristas take their work very seriously. Some coffee bars look like they could be in Brooklyn, New York, while others have an authentic, local feel. A nice mix! The coffee bars in Yogyakarta featured in this blog post are sure to get you your caffeine fix. And what's even better: they almost always serve iced coffee!
Awor Gallery & Coffee: This hipster hotspot is open from around 9 a.m. for a good cup of coffee. The interior is clean and bright, with plenty of wood. Drinking coffee here is a treat for coffee lovers, and you can choose from a variety of brewing methods.

Ruang Seduh Jogja #RSJ: This is without a doubt the hippest coffee shop I've been to in Yogyakarta. It could easily have been in Tokyo or Seoul. They brew slow-brewed coffee with precision! The interior is bright and white, and this coffee spot is especially popular with local hipsters.

How to get there: Several airlines fly daily to Java. You can, of course, fly directly to Jakarta and then on to Yogyakarta, but it's also fun to make a stopover in another cool city like Singapore or Hong Kong. Fly with Singapore Airlines or Cathay Pacific. They often even have a direct flight to Yogyakarta!
Yourlbb's favorite hotels in Yogyakarta: There's no shortage of great hotels in Yogyakarta! From trendy budget design hotels to ultra-luxurious hotels where you won't want to leave after checking in.
