A cookbook from Grandma. Three Michelin stars. And a beautiful 70s villa in a quiet neighborhood in Bangkok, where you are welcomed as if you were at the chefs' home.
The Sühring brothers do not cook based on trends; they cook from memories. Of their grandmother's farm, of the flavors of their youth in Germany, and of techniques passed down through generations.
@relaischateaux invited me to experience Sühring during a solo lunch, and this is truly my ultimate definition of culinary self-care.
This was a surprising afternoon in Bangkok, where I ate the best German food I have ever tasted. And that in a city where I normally avoid European restaurants. Well, for @restaurant_suhring, you really want to make that exception.
Signature dishes that I still think back to regularly?
🍴 Labskaus with caviar
🍴 Enleta waffle with Pfalz vinegar
🍴 Game pie
🍴 Dry aged Duck
TIP: If you go to Sühring, reserve the seats at the kitchen bar so you have a view of the chefs at work!

This is one of the nicest free outings in the spring! Did you know that you can gather (or pick, for the connoisseurs 😉) oysters yourself in various places in the Netherlands? I’m in Zeeland for a bit this weekend, and if we can, we’ll go again.
📍In this video, I show where you can fill your bucket.
Comment oester for the comprehensive guide with all details about all 8 locations + handy tips and rules.
Important to know:
– Max. 10 kilos per person (≈ 1 bucket)
– For personal use only
– Do not scoop or scrape the soil
– Go at low tide
Handy to take with you:
Bucket, screwdriver, boots, work gloves, tea towel, clean clothes and garbage bags (for the oysters and dirty clothes).
And of course: also bring an oyster knife, lemon and champagne 🍋🥂Because you want to taste something right away!
The oyster season runs from September to about April / early May, so now that the water isn't so cold, this is the perfect outing.
In the full guide, I share exactly where you can easily find them without much effort. Leave a comment and I'll send it to you right away!

A visit to The Mustang Blu is unforgettable. The hotel is a work of art. As soon as you step through the door, you feel like you've stepped back into the 18th century. The old wooden floors, authentic details, and vintage furniture create a truly spectacular experience. The hotel extends this philosophy to its amenities. For example, cocktails in the restaurant are served on the pages of old books, and the welcome desk is decorated with antique drawers. The rooms, meanwhile, feature authentic bathtubs! Every room, corner, and wall in The Mustang Blu is worth exploring, and we highly recommend booking a room at this small, unique boutique hotel!

In the heart of Chinatown lies the beautiful ASAI Bangkok Chinatown. The interior is a blend of various Asian influences, giving it a unique character. The spacious rooms include a generous seating area, perfect for unwinding after a busy day. ASAI Bangkok Chinatown places great emphasis on its communal areas. Meet other travelers and share experiences at the bar or in the lush botanical garden. The restaurant serves the finest Thai and Chinese dishes, and the shop offers the finest local products. ASAI Bangkok Chinatown is an excellent hotel that will certainly meet your expectations.

Ba Hao Residence is a beautiful aparthotel located next to Hua Lamphong Station. Both Circle Memorial Park and Sea Life Bangkok Ocean World are within walking distance. The hotel is a renovated shop. During the renovation, great attention was paid to the design, and the result is impressive. The yellow and dark tones create a cozy atmosphere, and the Chinese details add character to each space. The rooms are fully equipped with a kitchenette, a seating area, and a minibar. The restaurant serves primarily Chinese dishes, and for relaxation, we recommend a stroll in the spectacular botanical garden.

One of the most famous and best boutique hotels in Bangkok's Chinatown is undoubtedly the Shanghai Mansion Bangkok. This hotel transports you to 30s China. The bright colors, dragons on the walls, tall pillars, and impressive chandeliers give the interior style. The rooms feel like they're straight out of a movie. Thanks to the velvet furniture, the Chinese tea set, and the authentic armchair, you immediately feel a sense of luxury. Moreover, the spacious accommodations are fully equipped with all the necessary comforts. The hotel also features a wonderful spa and a cozy library. The restaurant specializes in Chinese cuisine and also has some surprising cocktails in store for you.

The trendy W22 by Burasari is located in the heart of Chinatown. The design combines a casual look with typical Chinese elements. There's a very relaxed atmosphere, making this boutique hotel the ideal place to unwind. The trendy rooms are well-designed and offer everything you'd expect from a good hotel room. In the common areas, you can enjoy a delicious coffee or play a game of billiards with your partner. The hotel's highlight, however, is the courtyard, which resembles the garden of a Chinese house. Among the green plants, you can meet other travelers or simply relax with a book!
