First of all: thank you for being here to close out 2025 <3.
2025, you were everything I hoped you would be and more. So many new memories.
I don't yet know what 2026 will bring, but last year was one for the books. Highlights included trips to China, Mexico City, Egypt, and exploring the English countryside.
Entrepreneurs probably recognize that 2025 was not an easy year.
When I started Your Little Black Book, I had one dream: not to work to stay somewhere for free in exchange for content and the pressure of a "picture perfect" experience. But to use my revenue models to book and experience those special places myself, as a guest instead of an influencer, and to give you honest tips.
After almost 15 years of entrepreneurship, I'm so happy with the balance between editorial and commercial work and that I can also say no to things that don't feel right.
At the same time, it's still special that destinations, airlines, and hotels hire me to create a customized Little Black Book for them. I have complete freedom with these campaigns, and I believe in the value of these content-based tips that truly suit your taste. And they come from me personally, not from a machine.

This will always be my dream job, the one I created almost 15 years ago. I still do as much as possible myself. That's energizing—from both successes and failures.

Have you seen the latest installment of the classic Hocus Pocus yet? Despite its low IMDB rating, I thoroughly enjoyed it, snuggled up on the couch under a blanket. The witches are back and embark on new adventures as they are revived in the village of Salem. You can watch the film on Disney+!
Hocus Pocus (1993)
Hocus Pocus is a true classic about three witches who want to become immortal. Their plan fails, and the witches are sentenced to death. However, a curse from their spellbook brings them back to Earth after 300 years—on Halloween—to try again. Fun fact: a remake of the film has been announced for release in 2022! The Witches (2020)
The Witches is based on a book by Roald Dahl. The story is about a young boy who discovers that witches are real. Witches also seem to have a deep hatred for innocent children, which is why they like to turn them into animals. I saw this film in the theater and thoroughly enjoyed it! A Discovery of Witches is a series about a witch who accidentally discovers an enchanted manuscript. This forces her to travel back to the magical world to unravel its secrets. She teams up with a very charming vampire to do this. (IMDb rating: 8) Watch the trailer here:

This used to be my absolute favorite show! Charmed is about three sisters descended from a long line of witches. Each sister has her own superpower. Yet, the girls can only truly fight evil and solve problems when they work together. (IMDb rating: 7.1) Watch the trailer here:

Sabrina is a witch living in the real world. Although her two aunts teach her all about magic, Sabrina often misfires when it comes to her magic. The Craft (1996)
I've lost count of how many times I've seen this movie! "The Craft" is about four girls who are outcasts in high school. By chance, they discover witchcraft, which they decide to use to gain power and popularity at school. Naturally, the witchcraft has some (horrific) consequences for the girls. Harry Potter (2001-2011)
Fun to watch at Halloween, but secretly these films are great for a movie marathon all winter long! Harry Potter is a student at the magical school Hogwarts.
