Barcelona is one of my favorite cities, and I've been there several times. It's the largest city in Catalonia, and there are so many great hotels to choose from. From luxury hotels with rooftop pools to retro hostels, you'll find it all!
You'll naturally pay a bit more for the more luxurious hotels, but the ones on this list are definitely worth it. Still, you don't have to pay a fortune for a nice hotel in this city. For example, one of the most beautiful hotels on this list costs just €39 per night!

MOOD 👀, I woke up really early today and was just scrolling through my photos of Bangkok 🌴.
Then I thought: how nice would it be if we shared our booked and wishlist destinations for inspiration?
Here's a safari in Malawi & Zimbabwe 🐆 in the books with a stopover in Nairobi.
I'm also going to Paris for a few nights by train with Manuel. So excited! I'm going to visit all the Parisian clichés and more with him ✌🏼.
Also on the wishlist: China (May holiday), midweek Athens & coast (summer), London (always a good idea), Amalfi & Rome (Manuel's dream for the autumn holiday) & Japan (Christmas holiday including skiing, tips welcome☺️).
My intention for 2026 is also to plan more fun days/nights away in the Netherlands.
And I would love to go to Japan solo, but well... first I have to get back to work 😅😉.

March = the month in which my favourite Sunday markets start up again in full swing.
So my Sunday plans are quickly made: stroll along stalls, discover new food trucks and go home with a bag full of organic products or a good vintage find.
What I love about it? Every market has its own vibe.

If you only go to one terrace in Amsterdam this weekend, make it @caferestaurant.meyer! What a great addition to the Amstelveld 😍.
Open from 10am, a very nice lunch menu, a wine list with a bottle of rosé for €20, but also olive ice cream with caviar (incredibly delicious!).
I'll be back soon to try the evening menu as well.
Tip: you can make a reservation on the terrace!
And did I mention there's a playground next door?

Note to self: always leave room in your suitcase for souvenirs. During my ski trip to Méribel, I popped into the local pharmacy just before leaving, and these are the beauty products I took home.

This trendy hotel in Barcelona is one of my personal favorites. The colorful decor immediately cheers you up, and the hotel has a pleasant, laid-back atmosphere. Warehouse has 128 rooms and is located in the Eixample district. You'll have to walk a bit further to reach the city's best shopping streets; Poral de L'Àngel is 1,7 kilometers away, and Plaça Catalunya is an 18-minute walk away. In my opinion, Barcelona is the perfect city for walking, as you'll see much more of its fascinating history. But if you prefer to take the metro, that's certainly an option as well.

The decor is delightfully retro, which is quite cool, in my opinion! The beach is four metro stops away, and you can easily catch the train to Barcelona Airport. A nice touch: each room has its own record player, complete with your choice of records.

Near Las Ramblas, you'll find the El Palace Barcelona hotel. An impressive building from the outside, and that impression continues the moment you step inside. It doesn't get more classic than this!
