Come with me to get breakfast in Taipei 🥢 Straight from the airport to this little spot to taste soup dumplings and so much more! That's what I call a soft landing 😉
Just back from Catalonia and I thought: I'll share some tips right away. During our road trip, we stayed two nights in the Ebro Delta. An incredibly fun stop for families and foodies alike, where there is plenty to do. · A boat trip to the Musclarium is a must! Here you eat oysters and mussels straight from the farm, in the middle of the sea. · Admire the flamingos and black ibises that can be found here all year round. · Rice is grown in the Ebro Delta all year round. For paella, but Kensho also makes sake and miso from it! You can visit them during a tasting. · Cycling along the rice fields, canoeing on the Ebro River, and visiting various beaches. It was still a bit too cold now, but there is plenty to do. · The towns are very low-key and not that exciting, but you can find fantastic local food there. From the Michelin-awarded Les Moles* to local eateries like Vermuteria Bonmarisc and Lo Tinglado. We ate a lot of fish, but also anemone fritters (a first!). Now back to work, and I’m going to create an extensive travel guide of this road trip through Catalonia, but you’ll want to save these tips for a future adventure. ✖️✖️✖️ 🖊️ @anne_de_buck { In this post, I share tips for the Ebro Delta in Spain (Delta de l'Ebre). PUUR JONNIE, an ode to Jonnie Boer. Today I had the honor of being at @delibrijezwolle for the book launch of @jonnie_en_therese. I spent the entire evening reading and browsing. WHAT A BOOK. What stories. WHAT AN ODE. Love, Nature, Pioneer, Fatherhood, Music, Jonnie's Foundation, Friendship, Suppliers, Local products, Relaxation, Entrepreneurship, Humor & The pure human being. Everything is covered, beautifully written by @joel.broekaert. With contributions from, among others, @nelsontanate, @rekkebus, @ronblaauwtje, @jorisbijdendijk, @sidney_schutte & @hvw043. Thanks for the wonderful afternoon @jonnie_en_therese 💚 PUUR JONNIE, Available from April 14 at your local bookstore (and online) 🖊️ @anne_de_buck
This is your ticket to Japan without taking a plane 🥢 @tewatashi.ams in De Pijp serves an authentic Edo-Mae Sushi Experience and is super consistent in their quality. It's the place we keep going back to when we have something to celebrate <3. In this video I'm sharing the 2 hour experience in 60 seconds. Still dreaming about the buttery ika nigiri. 🤤 ✖️✖️✖️ 🖊️ @anne_de_buck { one of the best authentic Japanese restaurants in Amsterdam serving premium sushi omakase in De Pijp }

Bakery Wolf

Although numerous businesses have occupied the Wolfstraat building, Bakkerij Wolf is a true keeper, offering a selection of the tastiest breads. Initially, Bakkerij Wolf was solely a to-go bakery, but recently, you can also enjoy breakfast and lunch inside in the beautiful and bright interior. The top baker (who previously worked at Morgen & Mees, among others) bakes the most delicious breads, pastries, and croissants daily, which you'll see in the display case as soon as you walk in.

Fort nine

Fort Negen on Jan Evertsenstraat opened its doors not long ago, but it's already a fixture. This bakery offers the finest sourdough bread and other delicacies. The croissants are highly recommended, as they change regularly and offer both sweet and delicious savory fillings, depending on the season.

Bakery foliage

We were already fans of Café Binnenvisser. It's definitely a place to remember, as they only accept walk-ins and are therefore perfect for spontaneous plans. Now, during the day, you can visit them from Thursday to Sunday between 8 a.m. and 16 p.m. for the most delicious sourdough bread, pastries, and Mendo books. Enjoy them to go or stay in the deli! In good weather, you can sit outside in the sunshine or enjoy people-watching from the window overlooking the bustling Bilderdijkstraat.

Levain and Le Vin

This isn't just the place for bread and other delicious baked goods. They also have a lovely selection of natural wines. Such a great new place, so if you want to treat yourself to some delicious bread or a box of a lovely mix of red, white, and orange wines, consider this charming spot on the JP! I never leave without a few divine canelés de Bordeaux.

For the tastiest bread and cheese croissants, head to Hartog. It's always busy, but the queue is more than worth it. In December, this is also the place to go for delicious (whole wheat) oliebollen!

The Bakhuys

Het Bakhuys in Amsterdam is the place in the city where this family business has been baking authentic bread for five generations using traditional recipes in a wood-fired stone oven. Since 1926, you'll find a wide selection of honest products made with passion and craftsmanship. This is my go-to place for ham and cheese croissants. The secret? They add a little mustard. So delicious!

Rise Bakery

Tucked away behind the various market stalls of the Albert Cuyp Market, Rise Bakery resembles a Parisian coffee bar. Here you can find all your bread and pastry needs, including tartlets, almond croissants, and the classic pain au chocolat.

Grams

You're in luck with a bakery like Grammes. Chef Maxime Papin creates the most beautiful creations here. After gaining experience in New York and Paris, you'll find delicious pastries with a French twist. Order the cappuccino tart, the hazelnut praline, or indulge in the chocolate croissants. Don't be surprised if there's a line on weekends. But order your bread in advance, and you're guaranteed not to sell out.

Bakery Mater

For artisanal sourdough bread, Bakkerij Mater is the place to be in the Pijp. This bakery-cum-shop is located near the Ferdi Bol and Sarphatipark. Besides enormous loaves with an excellent flavor and crispy exterior, you can also order delicacies like focaccias, croissants, and cookies. You'd easily cycle right past it if you didn't know this new bakery in Amsterdam opened right next to a busy bike path. So next time, stop off and take home some goodies!
