Perhaps the last weekend with ice and snow ⛄️❄️
Are you a cocooner or do you prefer to get outdoors? In our Snowy Amsterdam Guide, I share my favorite winter tips for this weekend in the city.
Save it – because snow days like this are rare 🥰
Do you have any great winter tips for Amsterdam? I'd love to read along!

First of all: thank you for being here to close out 2025 <3.
2025, you were everything I hoped you would be and more. So many new memories.
I don't yet know what 2026 will bring, but last year was one for the books. Highlights included trips to China, Mexico City, Egypt, and exploring the English countryside.
Entrepreneurs probably recognize that 2025 was not an easy year.
When I started Your Little Black Book, I had one dream: not to work to stay somewhere for free in exchange for content and the pressure of a "picture perfect" experience. But to use my revenue models to book and experience those special places myself, as a guest instead of an influencer, and to give you honest tips.
After almost 15 years of entrepreneurship, I'm so happy with the balance between editorial and commercial work and that I can also say no to things that don't feel right.
At the same time, it's still special that destinations, airlines, and hotels hire me to create a customized Little Black Book for them. I have complete freedom with these campaigns, and I believe in the value of these content-based tips that truly suit your taste. And they come from me personally, not from a machine.
So thank you for your support when you see #yourlbbcollab, #pressstrip or #prinvited ;-).
This will always be my dream job, the one I created almost 15 years ago. I still do as much as possible myself. That's energizing—from both successes and failures.
Luckily, I have a small team that helps with certain sections, and this year we're going through all the tips critically. What's still truly fun, and what's not?
As a leisure expert and queen of curation, I'm so excited to take yourlittleblackbook.me to the next level. Even though being an online entrepreneur requires constant attention and doesn't always come naturally, I wouldn't want anything else.
My mission remains: making your life easier.
So you don't have to search, but can simply choose well.
So glad you were here this year. Without you, there would be no Your Little Black Book 🖤
See you in 2026!
With love,
@anne_de_buck

I have always been part of the family and have always been proud of my work. I have a nice garden in my garden 🗝️👀
Mark your calendars! Because on January 17th and 18th, Hotel Night returns to Amsterdam with a year-round event packed with health and wellness events, and of course, legendary parties you'll be talking about all year long.
I got a sneak peek at The Art of Balance theme at the luxurious Anantara Krasnapolsky and arranged a similarly special experience for you as a YLBB follower.
And in my opinion:
• overnight stay for 2 people in a luxury room on January 17, 2026
• access to the spa & wellness (subject to availability via the wellness desk)
• pre-dinner cocktail at Bar The Tailor
• fully catered dinner from the chef
• passe-partouts for the Hotel Night parties
• extensive breakfast in the Winter Garden
• participation in unique Ice Experience in Krasnapolsky Summergarden
And in Flanders:
• let us know who you would like to check in with at Anantara Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky during the Mastercard Hotel Night
• download the Mastercard Hotel Night app where you can see the complete program
• and take a look at @hotelnacht and @anantarakrasnapolsky for the latest updates and to get the fun started!
The winner will be notified on January 5th in a comment from @hotelnacht that I will share in my stories.
I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!

Anne

This is the coolest new hotel for a night away! Meet @viaantwerp, Antwerp's newest boutique hotel on the border of Zurenborg and Borgerhout (yep, voted the 2nd coolest neighborhood in the world by Time Out).
I recently stayed at this gem, and it truly has it all: a lively bar with a cozy atmosphere, walls adorned with creative art, beautiful, bright rooms, and it's within walking distance of great hotspots. And I haven't even mentioned @mea.antwerp! The delightful restaurant, helmed by a chef who previously worked at The Palomar in London. If you know, you know!
And now the best news:
I can surprise one of you with a dream night away at VIA Antwerp. 💛
And in my opinion
• Overnight stay for 2 people

HAPPY ALMOST WEEKEND IN AMSTERDAM
Comment 'weekend' and I'll send you all 32 tips in the new Amsterdam Weekend Guide for December 4, 5, 6 & 7 ✖️✖️✖️

On the Amstel River lies Café Café, a neo-bistro that welcomes you from lunch until late at night. Whether you're here for afternoon drinks, a leisurely dinner, or Friday night dancing, the waterfront terrace is one of the city center's finest spots for sunbathing.
Amstel 1, Amsterdam – cafecafe.restaurant
On the ever-bustling Haarlemmerplein, De Willem has become a fixture, even though this all-day spot is still relatively new. You can pop in for coffee, lunch, drinks, or dinner, and with a sunny terrace that quickly fills up, it's a place you can easily spend the whole day. Inside, it's cozy and stylish, while outside, you can soak up every ray of sunshine. The extensive wine list and delicious menu complete the picture.
Haarlemmerplein 58, Amsterdam – de-willem.nl
Café Parlotte is an ode to the French bistro. Here you'll find a delightful setting with a menu full of fine wines and French classics that are also perfect for sharing. The terrace on Westerstraat is perfect for an evening of drinks in a Parisian atmosphere, complete with tablecloths and candlelight.
Westerstraat 182, Amsterdam – parlotte.nl
One of Amsterdam's best kept secrets. This cozy Dignita Hoftuin You only really notice it when you cycle past in the evening, for example, when there's a private party going on, and the garden is beautifully lit. For coffee and cake, lunch, or drinks. All day long!
New Herengracht 18a, Amsterdam – eatwelldogood.nl
Even if you're not a fan of museums, you'll want to check out this rooftop terrace with a view! You don't need a museum ticket to enjoy coffee and cake here. It's perfect for a budget-friendly afternoon soaking up the sun.
Oosterdok 2, Amsterdam – nemosciencemuseum.nl
The Friday afternoon drinks at Water edge is legendary. This is by far one of the best summer hangouts in Amsterdam. Right in the heart of the city, under the Q-park on Marnixstraat.

Waterfront, Amsterdam
Around the corner from Kwakersplein, you'll find the charming Karavaan. Chez Nina proves that vegetarian dining is anything but boring. Chef Nina's colorful dishes are as festive as they taste, with plenty of vegan options and surprising combinations. One of the nicest new terraces at Westergas, in my opinion, is Cantine de Caron. Delicious French bistro-style dishes and a spacious terrace with plenty of shade. Unexpectedly bad weather? Don't worry, because you can also sit inside in the industrial-style interior!

Southern France, but in Amsterdam West. Edita is an intimate café that feels like a long summer vacation evening: warm, atmospheric, and full of beautiful moments. Think: good food, fine wine, and conversations that last well into the evening.

Spacious, elevated, and offering panoramic views of the water and the Amsterdam skyline. Come here for fine dining by an open fire, unfussy, creative dishes, and a relaxed atmosphere. The cozy Buurtcafé De Tros not only has a beautiful interior, but it also serves incredibly delicious food. Every day, they keep spots open for walk-ins, both inside and outside on the terrace. I love coming here for drinks with my husband and child, but it's also the perfect spot for an evening with friends or a date. You have to try the famous smash burger, and the ever-changing menu is always exciting.

Badhuis on Javaplein is by far one of the nicest and largest new patios in Amsterdam East. From morning to evening, you can watch people cycle by while enjoying the Amsterdam summer sun. Another great thing about Badhuis is that you can make a reservation if you want to guarantee a spot. The drinks menu is spot on, and the dinner menu is also excellent (the burger is always a favorite!). In short: a great addition to the neighborhood and a place where everyone feels at home.

One of my favorite hidden gems in the East. Even a little sunshine feels pleasant here, and the food is simple but good. Highly recommended!
