Best of 2013! Top-5 hotspots of February

25 December 2013

The 5 most popular hotspots of February!

Another list with favourites! I think February is a great example that shows that it’s not all about the new hotspots but that hotspots also last. From concept store to gastropub and pizza hotspot.

5 favourites of February 2013

1. Bilder en De Clercq
Bilder en De Clercq is one of my favourite foodie hotspots. The first store opened last year at the corner of the Bilderdijkstraat and the De Clercqstraat in Amsterdam West. Good news they opened the second store just a few weeks ago. The concept of Bilder en De Clercq is based on recipes and all portions are single sized.

Loetje Oost Ruyschstraat 15 Amsterdam
2. Loetje Oost
Last year the famous Loetje steak house opened a third restaurant in Amsterdam on the banks of the IJ. The one at the Ruyschstraat in Amsterdam East is my regular one. I live almost next-door to Loetje Oost!

3. Hutspot
Hutspot recently opened a second store at the Rozengracht. The concept store at the Van Woustraat is one if my favourites in Amsterdam. Perfect to start a shopping spree at De Pijp. Also fun for lunch!

F.A. Speijkervet restaurant Amsterdam 5
4. Fa. Speijkervet
An all time favourite! I think Fa. Speijkervet is one of the best gastropubs in Amsterdam. The vibe is always good, the people who go there are nice and the food is delicious. I also like their other restaurant at the Van Woustraat called Fa. Pekelhaaring.

5. Pink Flamingo Pizza
Pink Flamingo Pizza is not a traditional Italian restaurant. But I sure can tell you that the pizza there is to die for. If you go there don’t forget to try one of the Pink Flamingo beers. The interior is kitch and retro, pretty cool!
