We were pretty busy enjoying ourselves during the festival season last August. There we were, dancing and jumping in the warm August sunshine. Luckily we also found some time, in between, to check out the newest hotspots in Amsterdam. So we made a list of the 6 hotspots of August 2015!

Kaagman & Kortekaas was our favourite classic spot of 2015! It’s the spot to go to when you have something to celebrate, or just feel like having a really special meal. The best meals of the French kitchen will pass by while you are enjoying a long evening of wining and dining, yummy!

Wilde Westen | bos & lommer >> best of august 2015
Wilde Westen in Bos en Lommer is a creative spot where there are lots of things to do: from washing your clothes and eating a delicious sandwich to work at one of the flex work spots. At De Japanner in De Pijp you can get Japanese fingerfood, and that is exactly what we’re addicted to. You can definitely wake us up for a good sushi and a crispy tempura, and guess what they sell at this spot in De Pijp? :-)

Pretending to be on holidays is possible at Plato Loco in West. Why? Well, here they serve dishes with Caribbean influences. Think of Jamaican chicken and fried banana. Also the best cocktails and homemade ice tea are served at Plato Loco, enjoy!

Brezel & Bratwurst | de pijp >> best of august 2015
Germany is trendy at Brezel & Bratwurst in De Pijp! Order a bratwurst of 100 procent beef and choose your own sauce and toppings. But, you can also go for a pretzel. And according to what is trendy in De Pijp the pretzels aren’t standard. They are made of spelt, linseed or quinoa. Healthy and tasty!

Mr Porter in the Amsterdam City Centre is the spot for everyone who is crazy about a quality meat dish. As as starter you share a few seafood dishes before you get onto the real thing: for example a juicy rib-eye. Oh and for dessert you have to take the homemade cheesecake, because you just cant resist.
