Are you a cocooner or do you prefer to get outdoors? In our Snowy Amsterdam Guide, I share my favorite winter tips for this weekend in the city.

First of all: thank you for being here to close out 2025 <3.
2025, you were everything I hoped you would be and more. So many new memories.
I don't yet know what 2026 will bring, but last year was one for the books. Highlights included trips to China, Mexico City, Egypt, and exploring the English countryside.
Entrepreneurs probably recognize that 2025 was not an easy year.
When I started Your Little Black Book, I had one dream: not to work to stay somewhere for free in exchange for content and the pressure of a "picture perfect" experience. But to use my revenue models to book and experience those special places myself, as a guest instead of an influencer, and to give you honest tips.
After almost 15 years of entrepreneurship, I'm so happy with the balance between editorial and commercial work and that I can also say no to things that don't feel right.
At the same time, it's still special that destinations, airlines, and hotels hire me to create a customized Little Black Book for them. I have complete freedom with these campaigns, and I believe in the value of these content-based tips that truly suit your taste. And they come from me personally, not from a machine.
So thank you for your support when you see #yourlbbcollab, #pressstrip or #prinvited ;-).
This will always be my dream job, the one I created almost 15 years ago. I still do as much as possible myself. That's energizing—from both successes and failures.
Luckily, I have a small team that helps with certain sections, and this year we're going through all the tips critically. What's still truly fun, and what's not?
As a leisure expert and queen of curation, I'm so excited to take yourlittleblackbook.me to the next level. Even though being an online entrepreneur requires constant attention and doesn't always come naturally, I wouldn't want anything else.
My mission remains: making your life easier.
So you don't have to search, but can simply choose well.
So glad you were here this year. Without you, there would be no Your Little Black Book 🖤
See you in 2026!
With love,
@anne_de_buck

I have always been part of the family and have always been proud of my work. I have a nice garden in my garden 🗝️👀
Mark your calendars! Because on January 17th and 18th, Hotel Night returns to Amsterdam with a year-round event packed with health and wellness events, and of course, legendary parties you'll be talking about all year long.
I got a sneak peek at The Art of Balance theme at the luxurious Anantara Krasnapolsky and arranged a similarly special experience for you as a YLBB follower.
And in my opinion:
• overnight stay for 2 people in a luxury room on January 17, 2026
• access to the spa & wellness (subject to availability via the wellness desk)
• pre-dinner cocktail at Bar The Tailor
• fully catered dinner from the chef
• passe-partouts for the Hotel Night parties
• extensive breakfast in the Winter Garden
• participation in unique Ice Experience in Krasnapolsky Summergarden
And in Flanders:
• let us know who you would like to check in with at Anantara Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky during the Mastercard Hotel Night
• download the Mastercard Hotel Night app where you can see the complete program
• and take a look at @hotelnacht and @anantarakrasnapolsky for the latest updates and to get the fun started!
The winner will be notified on January 5th in a comment from @hotelnacht that I will share in my stories.
I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!
Love,
Anne

This is the coolest new hotel for a night away! Meet @viaantwerp, Antwerp's newest boutique hotel on the border of Zurenborg and Borgerhout (yep, voted the 2nd coolest neighborhood in the world by Time Out).
I recently stayed at this gem, and it truly has it all: a lively bar with a cozy atmosphere, walls adorned with creative art, beautiful, bright rooms, and it's within walking distance of great hotspots. And I haven't even mentioned @mea.antwerp! The delightful restaurant, helmed by a chef who previously worked at The Palomar in London. If you know, you know!
And now the best news:
I can surprise one of you with a dream night away at VIA Antwerp. 💛
And in my opinion
• Overnight stay for 2 people
• Breakfast included
• Chef's Dinner at MEA
And in Flanders
• Let us know in the comments which friend you would like to stay here with
• Of course, take a look at @viaantwerp & @mea.antwerp to dream away and follow their updates

HAPPY ALMOST WEEKEND IN AMSTERDAM
Comment 'weekend' and I'll send you all 32 tips in the new Amsterdam Weekend Guide for December 4, 5, 6 & 7 ✖️✖️✖️

One of the nicest restaurants I've eaten at recently is definitely Cafe Restaurant Verlan in Amsterdam. Do you remember the location of wine bar Envy on the Prinsengracht? A very cozy and atmospheric old warehouse, which, with the opening of Verlan, is bustling like never before. Because it's a true Amsterdam gem, there are various nooks and crannies, each with its own unique atmosphere. From dining at the bar to banquettes with high tables, and from round tables to tables set with white linens. I was there recently for an early lunch, and it was so lovely with my husband on a Saturday afternoon. A table full of dishes, a bottle of wine, and cycling home rosy-cheeked. That's what I call a perfect Saturday! The French-inspired, no-nonsense menu at Cafe Restaurant Verlan in Amsterdam is extensive, and you'll want to try everything. What I really like is the lunch menu, where you can enjoy a delicious appetizer and main course, or main course and dessert, for a very reasonable price, just like in France.
Good news for all lovers of ceviche and more seafood. Lunch is BACK at Sjefietshe in De Pijp. Join us on Saturdays and Sundays for lunch on the terrace, or in the cozy gastrobar if the weather isn't so great. Perfect with a date, friends, or your long-time lover. Add a Palomaatje (a Dutch pastry), a table full of dishes from the new menu, and chances are you'll be chatting away until late afternoon. A classic you'll definitely want to order is the now-defunct hotdoctopus.
Easily one of the nicest new restaurants in Amsterdam Noord. And the good news is that they have their own bakery, so they open early every day. It's best to stop by around lunchtime! From noon onwards, they already have a number of divine dishes on their rotating menu. I recommend ordering a variety of dishes from the menu and don't miss the snacks. Fill your table, add a glass of wine or another delicious drink, and enjoy! TIP: Also great to combine with NXT Museum which is right next to Cafe Restaurant Metro.

Cafe Beurre Amsterdam might just be the best new vegetarian hotspot in the city. Since its opening, this restaurant has been packed every night. And we understand why! Cafe Beurre is a fantastically atmospheric restaurant with a menu full of delicious vegetarian dishes. The owners of this restaurant may be old acquaintances for the foodies among us. Owner Kim Jongbloed previously worked at Balthazar's Keuken, his aunt's business with whom he now started Cafe Beurre. It's immediately apparent that the team is already experienced in the Amsterdam restaurant scene. Cafe Beurre is simple, yet warm and elegantly decorated. It features a cozy bar and white-clothed tables. The atmosphere is pleasant, and we get a bit of a French feel. Good to know: Cafe Beurre Amsterdam doesn't take reservations. This creates a relaxed atmosphere, inviting you to drop in spontaneously for a pleasant evening. Arriving a little early helps secure a table! On weekends, Cafe Beurre is open for lunch from 1:00 PM.

RIJKS is the restaurant you want to visit for a unique lunch in a wing of the Rijksmuseum. Chef Joris Bijdendijk, Yascha Oosterberg, and Friso van Amerongen create dishes here using the finest produce from the Low Countries. RIJKS recently underwent a complete renovation and reopened with a stunning new interior and a new menu. The new RIJKS is more modern yet still feels familiar. For a truly special experience, reserve the seats overlooking the kitchen. Awarded a Michelin star in 2016, RIJKS is an Amsterdam staple that has become a fixture. The LobbyThe Lobby is my all-time favorite restaurant for a leisurely lunch. Eggs royale, Caesar salad, flammkuchen, or perhaps steak tartare? Whatever you choose, it's always good at The Lobby. The restaurant on Fizeaustraat in Oost is a bit more upscale than the one on Nes, but both are highly recommended.

Café Restaurant Amsterdam (Cradam)Café Restaurant Amsterdam (Cradam to those in the know) has been the go-to restaurant for many Amsterdammers for years. It's not exactly a fine dining restaurant (it's actually low-key!), but it's always good, and you can make it as elaborate and elaborate as you like. The steak tartare and shrimp croquettes are favorites!

Restaurant Flore (formerly Bord'Eau): Under the leadership of chef Bas van Kranen, the concept here was completely overhauled. At Flore, they create fantastic plant-based dishes with a passion for the ingredients. They also offer lunch, a set menu costing around €110!

Bistro NeufFrench, Frencher, Frenchest! That's Bistro Neuf in the charming Haarlemmerstraat. Think oysters, foie gras, steak tartare, and côte de boeuf.

The DuchessThe restaurant at the W Hotel in Amsterdam has been awarded a Michelin star, and we completely understand why. The Duchess is located in the old Kas Bank and therefore has a natural flair. Add to that a range of dishes like spaghetti with butter and caviar (my favorite!) and their Insta-famous chocolate-nitrogen dessert, and you have a lunch to remember.

BehindRestaurant Bak was one of the first restaurants in Amsterdam to offer high-quality cuisine with vegetables as the main focus. UPDATE: Lazuur is not currently serving lunch. Glaze: They only serve lunch on Sundays. And maybe I should call it a matinee shift. Anyway, Lazuur is a wonderful restaurant in Amsterdam North That the location sometimes isn't top of mind for me, but a place like this we've been talking about for a year makes us want to return soon. You get the idea!
