This is the coolest new hotel for a night away! Meet @viaantwerp, Antwerp's newest boutique hotel on the border of Zurenborg and Borgerhout (yep, voted the 2nd coolest neighborhood in the world by Time Out).
I recently stayed at this gem, and it truly has it all: a lively bar with a cozy atmosphere, walls adorned with creative art, beautiful, bright rooms, and it's within walking distance of great hotspots. And I haven't even mentioned @mea.antwerp! The delightful restaurant, helmed by a chef who previously worked at The Palomar in London. If you know, you know!

HOME ALONE 4 INCOMING 😅 My trip to NYC ends in a bad (Christmas) movie when the hotel gives my carry-on luggage with passport to an old lady who doesn't realize this and checks the luggage on a flight to the UK!
Now I'm stuck here in NY without a passport, and I missed my flight.
I've experienced a lot in all the years I've been traveling for Your Little Black Book, but this is a first 😅.
This chat video is purely therapeutic in nature 🤣🤣🤣. Because really: HOW?! 🫢
Note to self: it's better to carry your passport all day, instead of leaving it "safely" in the hotel, apparently... and from now on, attach suitcases with cables in the storage room. Even if you're staying in a luxurious and expensive hotel, everything is still done by humans.
Now I'm stuck in one of the world's coolest cities, but of course I just want to be home with Manuel, as planned. 😔

How cool is this? There are places in the Netherlands where you can cut down your own Christmas tree! You don't hear about it very often, even though it's quite common in America (where I'm currently!).
Good to know: some of these places in the Netherlands are only open for a few days a year and you have to reserve a time slot.

This time we went to @williams.farmhouse, one of my favorite lunch spots in Amsterdam Oud-Zuid. But is it also fun during the day with kids?
We ordered a 'plain' version of the Farmhouse burger 🍔: yes, really just meat + cheese 🤣… and together with the fries it was a mega success.
Happy child, happy us... and it was such a cozy, rainy afternoon. I mean, this interior makes me dream of the Cotswolds again!

Camping Bakkum is a friendly family campsite near the beach. You can stay in your own tent or caravan or rent one of the luxury accommodations. Throughout the season, the campsite organizes various activities for all ages. For example, you'll find an open-air theater on site where you can regularly attend music, shows, and other events.

The Lievelinge
De Lievelinge is the campsite where creative people will feel right at home. In a beautiful, wooded location near a swimming lake, you'll find camping spots or can stay overnight in unique accommodations (like a repurposed school bus). Kennemer Duincamping is a family campsite located about 1 kilometer from the beach. Sports enthusiasts can enjoy water sports in the surrounding area. The campsite also features a panna court, a soccer field, and a racquetball court.
Camping Abroad
At one of the Netherlands' most charming campsites, you'll stay in unique accommodations created by self-builders. From a vintage bus to a church: you decide where you want to spend your holiday. The accommodations are truly eye-catching and fully equipped. Dune park Het Zwanenwater
At this small-scale holiday park, you'll stay in one of 12 luxury tented lodges. Each tented lodge has its own dune hollow and is equipped with all the basics for a comfortable holiday. Each lodge also includes a bicycle and a handcart. From the holiday park, you can quickly reach the beach and the Zwanenwater nature reserve. The park also features a wood-fired hot tub, a playground for the kids, and fun activities.

Camping de Lakens in Bloemendaal is a luxury campsite where you can camp or rent accommodations. Camping Lolotte
Camping Lolotte is a children's campsite nestled in nature. At Lolotte, it's all about exploring nature, getting dirty, and endless fun. You'll find an outdoor swimming pool, a play pond, a mud playground, and a pétanque court at the campsite. The fields are organized by age group so children can always find a playmate. Lolotte organizes excursions and activities for children, and in the summer, you can join us for a delicious meal.

Het Bos Roept is a comfortable nature campsite nestled in the heart of the forest. You'll stay in tepee tents or luxurious forest cabins – whatever suits you best. At the campsite itself, you'll enjoy peace and quiet and the inquisitive animals, but you'll also find plenty of amenities for a comfortable holiday.
