The Lincoln: We’d love to live in a hotel like The Lincoln! A hip interior with lots of vintage details. This hotel is in the heart of the Old Town in Chicago and has been there since the 20s. Did you know that Al Capone also stayed here once?

Longman & Eagle: How cool is this? First dine in a Michelin star restaurant and then just go straight upstairs instead of having to take the taxi. That’s something you can do if you eat at Longman & Eagle and after that overnight in one of the six unique rooms. This hotel is located by the trendy Logan Square.

The Drake: If I stay in a hotel like The Drake then I can feel so extremely happy. It’s not at all hip, but rather very classic. Walking through the corridor will make you feel like a chic lady in a big city. Most of the rooms have a beautiful view of the water from the North Side.

Acme Hotel: this modern hotel is in the neighbourhood River North and is filled with art. The design of this hotel is stylish and I think all of the public areas look really cool. For the athletes among us can go to the gym before going to one of the great restaurants in Chicago for a nice meal.

The Langham: this luxurious hotel opened in 2013 on the 13th floor of the IBM building. An open top, luxury hotel located in a building designed by Mies van der Rohe in River North. The light lobby is full of art and the bathroom are made completely out of marble. We like!

Millenium Knickerbocker: In North Side you’ll find this classic hotel that feels a bit like an old grand hotel. Maybe a bit outdated, but that also has it’s charming sides, especially in combination with the good service. In the evening the lit up entrance is something that you’d see in the movies with all the theatre lights!

Holiday Jones: We’ve said it before on Your Little Black Book and we’ll say it again, WE LOVE the design hostels that have popped up these past few years. You might not want to stay in a shared room if you go to Chicago with your lover, but if you go with a few friends… then Holiday Jones is a super cool place to overnight, in the hip Wicker Park neighbourhood!

Cambria: Do you love hotels with rooftops? Then Cambria in Chicago is perfect! This trendy hotel is in the neighbourhood North Side and between all the other skyscrapers you’ll really feel like  you’re in a metropolis! A nice thing about Chicago is that the skyscrapers are just a bit nicer than in other cities. The art in the rooms is a bit questionable and doesn’t do justice to the hip design of the public areas, but the next time we’re in Chicago we’ll definitely be staying here!
