You can also sample the most delicious specialties from around the world, and there's much more to do. Stroll among the lights of Brussels by lights, take a ride on the Ferris wheel, admire the magnificent Christmas tree, and visit the sound and light show in the Grand Place. During the biggest winter event in Belgian Limburg, there's plenty to do in Hasselt. During Winterland Hasselt, you can skate on the ice rink, enjoy a drink in the Grand Café, and take a spin on the 35-meter-high Ferris wheel, which will hopefully be back again this year. For kids, Santa's house is a must-see during the Hasselt Christmas market. New this year is De Almhütte, a unique Austrian mountain chalet that will bring the Alpine feeling to Hasselt. At the Leuven Christmas market, you'll find 140 stalls filled with homemade products, treats, lovely gifts for under the tree, and trinkets you'll love to keep for yourself. This year, you'll find not one, but two Christmas markets in Bruges during Wintergloed Brugge. In the city center, Simon Stevinplein square is a charming Christmas market perfect for shopping for artisanal Christmas gifts and, above all, for lots of treats to take home. The Bruges Christmas market is known as one of the most beautiful in Belgium. In the Grote Markt square, you'll find the more traditional Bruges Christmas market with chalets for a true Christmas atmosphere. The Bruges Christmas markets are made even more festive by concerts by various choirs playing the most wonderful Christmas songs. In the Leopold Park in Oostende This year, you'll find more than 50 chalets to browse. From stalls filled with international delicacies like French cheeses, Spanish hams, and delicious mulled wine to handmade and artisanal products. There's also plenty to do at this charming Christmas market in Ostend. This year, there's a huge indoor ice skating rink! During Winter in Antwerp, the city is transformed into one of the most beautiful Christmas cities in Belgium. The various squares are decorated with thousands of lights during the holidays, and Christmas markets are spread throughout the city. Now Antwerp Antwerp is always a great city for a night or weekend getaway, but especially so around the holidays! To make it extra fun, there's something different to do on every square, from a Ferris wheel to an ice skating rink. All activities take place around Steenplein, Grote Markt, Handschoenmarkt, and the Scheldekaaien. All locations are festively decorated, and the Meir and De Keyserlei are also adorned with Christmas lights. Other things to do at Antwerp's Christmas markets include a winter bar with children's entertainment on Steenplein, a tubing track on Koningin Astridplein, an open-air winter terrace with interactive elements on Steenplein, an ice rink with a winter bar on Groenplaats, giant Christmas trees on Grote Markt, Handschoenmarkt, and Koningin Astridplein, and a nativity scene on Handschoenmarkt. In the Liège Christmas Village, you'll find a traditional Christmas market and plenty of other fun winter activities. The entire city is transformed into a Christmas festivity, so you'll find yourself in a veritable Christmas village with over 200 chalets! It's easily one of the most beautiful Christmas markets in Belgium, and you'll want to visit it. The Liège Christmas market is spread across Place St. Lambert and Place du Marché. Sample winter delicacies like marzipan, cured meats, mulled wine, Christmas beers, pékèt, champagne, oysters, foie gras, and raclette. There's no limit to what you can find in this Burgundian city!
