Barlotta Amsterdam is a delightful addition to the Czaar Peterbuurt in Amsterdam Centre. The warm colours on the walls, the light wood, the colourful tiles, and the authentic Southern European menu all give you the feeling of being transported to the Mediterranean coast.
Immerse yourself in Southern Europe at Barlotta Amsterdam
In Southern Europe, good food takes centre stage in life. Those who have been there know all about it. Barlotta Amsterdam brings that tradition to our capital city, with a venue open from Tuesday to Friday, 5 p.m. to midnight. On Saturdays, they open at 12.00 and serve lunch as well. It’s the perfect spot for drinks and dinner. Even if you’re hosting an elegant evening or a dinner club at home, you’ll want to stop by Barlotta. They also have a wine shop where you can pick up your favourite wines.
Menu Barlotta
Little compares to indulging in a lengthy dinner until the early hours, as they do so well in Southern European countries. At Barlotta, they’ve mastered the art of endless dining with a menu featuring a whopping 24 (!) antipasti dishes. Whether you’re sharing or keeping it all to yourself, it’s entirely up to you how you want to spend your evening. The menu is an endless list of classics but with the Barlotta twist. The arbequina olives are a must-try (you’ve never tasted them like this before), and meat lovers will rejoice over the bresaola. The brioche with anchovies and homemade butter is a must-try for those who adore seafood. But vegetarians won’t be disappointed either: from artichoke hearts to patatas bravas and ravioli with seitan and tofu (for a heartier appetite) – the choices are vast. Matching wines hail from all corners, from Italy to Spain and Austria. They also serve various alcohol-free wines, with knowledgeable staff to guide you.
For desserts, the owners found inspiration in Italy and Portugal; the pastel de nata is a must-try (crispy and not overly sweet), and those in need of a pick-me-up will appreciate the affogato—a strong espresso with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. And if the night is still young, indulge in their already renowned Sgroppino á la Barlotta. Success is guaranteed.
