In Southern Europe, good food is central to life. Anyone who's been there can easily imagine it. Barlotta Amsterdam brings that tradition to our capital, with a restaurant open Tuesday through Friday from 17.00:12.00 PM to midnight, and even from noon on Saturdays. Even if you're planning a fancy evening or dinner party at home, you'll want to stop by Barlotta. They also have a wine shop, where you can purchase your favorite wines to take home.

Menu Barlotta
Few things beat the long, late-night dining experience of Southern European countries. At Barlotta, they've mastered the art of endless dining, with a menu featuring no fewer than 24 (!) antipasti dishes. Enjoy them to share or enjoy them for yourself; it's all about how you want to spend your evening. The menu is an endless list of classics, but with the Barlotta twist. The arbequina olives are a must (you've never tasted them like this before), and meat-eaters will be in their element with the bresola. Fish lovers will also want to try the brioche with anchovies and homemade butter. Vegetarians are also catered to: from artichoke hearts to patatas bravas and ravioli with seitan and tofu (for those with a bigger appetite) – the selection is enormous. Pairing wines come from all corners of the world, from Italy to Spain and Austria. They also serve a variety of non-alcoholic wines, and the staff will be happy to advise you on them.
For their desserts, the owners drew inspiration from Italy and Portugal; the pastel de nata is a must-try (crispy and not too sweet), and for those in need of a pick-me-up, try the afogato – a strong espresso with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. And if the evening is still young, try their already-famous Sgroppino à la Barlotta. Success guaranteed.

First of all: thank you for being here to close out 2025 <3.
2025, you were everything I hoped you would be and more. So many new memories.
I don't yet know what 2026 will bring, but last year was one for the books. Highlights included trips to China, Mexico City, Egypt, and exploring the English countryside.
Entrepreneurs probably recognize that 2025 was not an easy year.
When I started Your Little Black Book, I had one dream: not to work to stay somewhere for free in exchange for content and the pressure of a "picture perfect" experience. But to use my revenue models to book and experience those special places myself, as a guest instead of an influencer, and to give you honest tips.
After almost 15 years of entrepreneurship, I'm so happy with the balance between editorial and commercial work and that I can also say no to things that don't feel right.
At the same time, it's still special that destinations, airlines, and hotels hire me to create a customized Little Black Book for them. I have complete freedom with these campaigns, and I believe in the value of these content-based tips that truly suit your taste. And they come from me personally, not from a machine.

This will always be my dream job, the one I created almost 15 years ago. I still do as much as possible myself. That's energizing—from both successes and failures.

This is the coolest new hotel for a night away! Meet @viaantwerp, Antwerp's newest boutique hotel on the border of Zurenborg and Borgerhout (yep, voted the 2nd coolest neighborhood in the world by Time Out).
I recently stayed at this gem, and it truly has it all: a lively bar with a cozy atmosphere, walls adorned with creative art, beautiful, bright rooms, and it's within walking distance of great hotspots. And I haven't even mentioned @mea.antwerp! The delightful restaurant, helmed by a chef who previously worked at The Palomar in London. If you know, you know!
