Good news for those who, like me, regularly dine at Braai. You know that BBQ kiosk near Vondelpark with a lovely waterfront terrace in the summer? The second location near Westerpark is open! I eat a lot less meat, but when I do, I do it right. I'm a fan of the spare ribs at Braai. They're so delicious and tender! When I don't feel like cooking and I'm craving comfort food, this is my go-to.
Braai's second location has a lovely terrace and seats around 50 guests. Braai Westerpark is open seven days a week from 16 p.m., making it the perfect spot for a late-afternoon drink.

The menu at Braai Westerpark is almost identical to the Braai location near Vondelpark, although there are a few new dishes on the menu. Think barbecue dishes from around the world. And there's more emphasis on side dishes. Braai Westerpark is also a self-service concept where you order at the bar and pick up your food from the kitchen as soon as it's ready. This is already common practice in American BBQ restaurants, and I think it's a good thing! Another great thing: despite using only the finest meat, the food is much more affordable because there are no extra staff costs.

Enjoy long tables and that authentic outdoor feeling you associate with barbecuing. But all year round! And… also fun: now that we're no longer allowed to barbecue in Vondelpark, Braai's antique cargo bikes with BBQs are simply moving to Westerpark. Perfect if you have something to celebrate and want to barbecue with friends without any worries!
