Bar Uyt Amsterdam is one of those new, delightful spots you didn’t know you needed, yet you immediately hold close to your heart. Just because of its sunny terrace alone, it’s a must-visit.
Why Bar Uyt belongs to your bucket list
Bar Uyt is a fine addition to Amsterdam West. It opened its doors in March 2024, and since then, various events have been organized, and legendary evenings have taken place. For example, on King’s Day, there was an all-day brunch with rosé (which we believe is worth repeating, even outside of the holiday), and Uyt regularly organizes wine tastings in collaboration with leading wine importers.
In addition to the busy schedule, Uyt is also simply a nice place for a date, an evening of hanging out with friends, or a no-nonsense dinner.
Private Dining
Got something to celebrate? Then Uyt is the place to be par excellence. At Klein Uyt, you dine in an intimate setting in a secluded space with room for about thirty people. It’s a great place to be, as you even have your own tap and terrace by the water. An ideal spot to celebrate your birthday.
Menu Bar Uyt Amsterdam
At Bar Uyt, anything goes. The great thing is that there’s an all-day menu, so there’s something to nibble on all day long. From nachos (loaded!) to manchego, bruschetta, cheese sticks, homemade croquettes, and more, they’re all equally delicious.
The dinner menu is just as delightful. Bar Uyt Amsterdam operates on a shared dining concept—as you’re probably familiar with from many Amsterdam establishments—where you order two to three dishes per person. These dishes come in three categories: vegetarian, meat, and fish. The steak tartare, bavette, octopus, and sweet potatoes are a must.
Even for lunch, Uyt manages to serve up a surprising selection. The richly filled sourdough slices from Levain & Le Vin will keep you satisfied for the rest of the day. Our favourites? The Croque señor and the UYT smijter. And then there’s dessert: the so-called U.Y.T.-loper—a cheesecake-like dessert you’ve never tasted before. In short, it’s a place you’d preferably visit with a big appetite.
