The men behind Bar Spek and Forno noticed this "emptiness" too, so they took matters into their own hands: Bartack Amsterdam is open!

So you'll find Bartack just past IJsmanschap. It's in the last building before the park, which once served as a fraternity house, then briefly as a mosque, and then as a squat. Now that it's been renovated, the owners are aiming to create a welcoming spot where neighbors can gather all day long. They're doing this by serving breakfast from 8:00 a.m., with a variety of breakfast bowls and delicious egg dishes. What's more, breakfast is available all day! And, as befits a good neighborhood pub, you can also stop by for lunch, dinner, and a refreshing drink.
