The long wait is rewarded! Where Café Ter Brugge once stood for years, renovations were taking so long that we almost doubted anything new would ever be built. But now Bar Kosta Amsterdam has opened its doors! And yes, the beautiful, large terrace we were used to at its predecessor is back. The terrace has gotten a real makeover, though. Besides tables and stools, there are also several benches where I can easily see myself sitting on a sunny day!

The first thing you'll notice inside is the glass lighting at the bar. While Ter Brugge was primarily a traditional Dutch pub, Bar Kosta Amsterdam has also undergone a complete makeover. And I approve! The cozy atmosphere hasn't disappeared, but it has been given a nice makeover. Tip: when you're at Bar Kosta, definitely order the "krodelletjes" (small Dutch croquettes)—bitterballen (small meatballs) with a frikadel filling… yum! For vegetarians, there's the now-famous "bieterballen" (beetroot balls) in Amsterdam. But you can also opt for the smoothie bowls or one of the other dishes on the menu. Be sure to arrive early if you want to snag a spot on the terrace ;-).
Happy travels!
WITH LOVE,
WIEKE
