Why Bar Uyt belongs on your bucket list
Bar Uyt is a nice addition to Amsterdam WestThis venue opened its doors in March 2024 and has since hosted several events and legendary evenings. For example, during King's Day, there was an all-day brunch with rosé (worth repeating, even outside of the holiday), and Uyt regularly organizes wine tastings in collaboration with leading wine importers.
Besides the busy schedule, Uyt is also a nice place for a date, a night out with friends or a no-nonsense dinner.
Private dining
Got something to celebrate? Uyt is the perfect place to be. At Klein Uyt, you can dine in an intimate setting in a private room with space for about thirty people. It's a great place to relax, as you even have your own tap and waterfront terrace. An ideal spot to celebrate. to celebrate your birthday, so.
Menu Bar Uyt Amsterdam
At Bar Uyt, anything goes. The best part: there's an all-day menu, so there's always something to nibble on. From nachos (loaded!) to manchego, bruschetta, cheese sticks, homemade croquettes, and more; everything is delicious.
The dinner menu is just as excellent. Bar Uyt Amsterdam operates on a shared dining concept—as you've probably come to expect from many Amsterdam establishments—where you order two to three dishes per person. These dishes fall into three categories: vegetarian, meat, and fish. The steak tartare, bavette, pulpo, and sweet potatoes are a must-try.
Uyt also serves a surprising selection for lunch. The generously filled sourdough slices from Levain & Le Vin will fill you up for the rest of the day. Our favorites? The Croque Señor and the UYT Smijter. And then there's dessert: the so-called UYT loper – a cheesecake like you've never tasted before. In short: a place you'd best visit when you're hungry.

Heading out of town? 🍂 These are my favorite walking and drinking spots in the Netherlands.
To be honest... I don't see myself living outside the city anytime soon, but on weekends I do enjoy getting out into nature. That's why I've created a YLBB shortlist of the most beautiful hiking areas, complete with a great spot for drinks nearby.
My perfect Sunday? First, a walk, then plopping down somewhere with a treat or a hot chocolate (or, of course, a glass of wine and bitterballen!).

I used to think Halloween was stupid 🎃.
But since I became a mother, it has become one of our favorite holidays!
