Oh Bali, how often I think of you. Exactly one year ago we were there for the last time. After a wonderful stopover in Lithuania, Vilnius with Cathay Pacific, another destination I miss terribly and can't wait to return to. The three of us recently rewatched the travel vlog series I made about our first family trip to my favorite island. Whether you're traveling with a baby, kids, or your lover, Bali Go: The videos are packed with tips for fun hotspots. I've embedded them again at the bottom of this blog post so you can watch them too!
➊ Nusa Lembongan: enjoy scootering on the narrow paths through the hills of Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Ceningan. Have a drink at The Deck, lounging on a bed at Sandy Bay Beach Club and stay at boutique hotel Tiger Lilly's.
Staying at the Mahagiri Panoramic Resort: not fancy at all, but we had such a wonderful time here on our last trip. The view of the rice paddies and the volcano is priceless. Watch part 2 of the Bali Travel Vlog series to see it for yourself. Mahagiri is really one of those places you fall in love with because of its simplicity and because it is run by a local family, and of course the good nasi and satay!
➌ Relax at the beach clubs: a lounger with a view of the sea or the pool. Cool off in the pool, then share tasty snacks for lunch and watch the sunset while sipping a Bintang. As soon as the weather permits, we'll be lounging at hotspots like Potatohead and La Brisa.
➍ Eating at Locavore in Ubud: by far my favorite fine dining restaurant in Bali. We go there every time we're there for a leisurely lunch, and I'm always surprised by the unique flavors. In part 3 of the Bali Travel Vlog series, you'll see what we ate there!
Unwind on the Bukit Peninsula: we always start our holidays on Uluwatu, also known as the Bukit Peninsula, the peninsula below Kuta and Sanur. Here you'll find the most beautiful hotels built on the steep cliffs. Steep stairs or a lift take you to the stunning beaches, and during sunset, you can watch the surfers in the high waves. Want a real adventure? Then stay at The Impossible Beach House from The Island housesWhy? You'll find out in part 1 of the Bali Travel Vlog series.
Have fun daydreaming while watching these Bali videos and the anticipation of planning a wonderful trip in the future!
