Badcuyp Amsterdam follows Escobar’s footsteps – a charming spot in the heart of De Pijp. This establishment is your go-to for excellent wine, an extensive selection of drinks, dinner, or all of the above. Let’s head to De Pijp, shall we?

Why you want to visit Badcuyp ASAP

The owners of Badcuyp aren’t newbies in the hospitality scene: they’ve previously honed their craft at Flore, Rijsel, Bar du Champagne, Helling7, Panache, and Secret Garden. Together, they bring ample experience to realize De Pijp’s latest sensation. In a short span, their new venture has blossomed into a cosy spot for a leisurely dinner, quick bite, drinks, or a good glass of wine.

The name Badcuyp pays homage to the jazz cafรฉ that once graced this location, following its tenure as a communal bathing spot for the original residents of De Pijp. While the neighbourhood has undergone significant gentrification and communal baths are now a thing of the past, the historical nod remains charming.

Menu Badcuyp

At Badcuyp Amsterdam, they proudly boast a selection of over 250 (!) wines on their menu โ€“ and rightfully so. Naturally, these wines are complemented by delectable bites. The menu features an array of small dishes, but fear not; plenty can satisfy a hearty appetite. Many rave about the morel mushrooms with rabbit and the eggplant with Dutch wasabi โ€“ a flavour sensation unlike any other; trust us on this. Seafood takes centre stage on their menu; all their fish, shellfish, and crustaceans are locally and sustainably sourced. Their meats, game, and poultry are equally meticulously chosen, all hailing from their homeland. The dishes are simple yet superb, devoid of unnecessary frills. “This is how we remain true to our goal of cooking no-nonsense, wood-fired cuisine,” the owners affirm.
