It's great to be back in Austin for vacation! I'll be covering the next few days The best (hot)spots I discovered in Austin are listed in the Austin City Guide. Luster Pearl, Austin – best bars on Rainey Street Austin

The Lustre Pearl is the oldest bar on Rainey Street. It's the perfect spot if you're in the mood for bar food (nachos, tacos, etc.), beers, and cocktails. lustrepearlaustin.com

Yep, Rainey Street is mostly bars. But if you're looking for a truly good meal, head to farm-to-table restaurant NOVA. They also serve delicious cocktails! novaonrainey.com

Another great restaurant on Rainey Street. For authentic Mexican food, go to El Naranjo. More of a restaurant than a bar. Not Tex-Mex ;-). elnaranjo-restaurat.com
