A new food concept in Amsterdam: Appartement K!
Appartement K is a new dining concept in Amsterdam. A secret restaurant, once a month, always at a different location in the city. Say ‘new’ or ‘secret’ and I’m all ears ;-) So you can imagine that I immediately booked a table when there was a new date set. Although I didn’t quite know what to expect. A four-course dinner at a unique apartment somewhere downtown Amsterdam, a chef and a select group of up to 10 people. Fortunately there was still place at the table and I can tell you: I had a fantastic night and an amazing dinner!
Appartement K was founded by Simon Cachera and Numa Muller. Two French men with a passion for food. Numa is a chef who has worked for several starred restaurants and as we speak he will open a restaurant in la douce France. But in the Netherlands, he wanted to do something with fine dining and together with Simon he developed the concept Appartement K in Amsterdam.
What exactly is Appartement K?
Once a month you can sign up for an exclusive and secret dinner, somewhere in Amsterdam. Appartement K is constantly looking for beautiful and / or special apartments from locals. So you can take a sneak peek into someone else’s kitchen and you never know where to end up. The address is only shared on the day of your dinner with Appartement K. In the evening you’ll be hosted by Simon and chef Numa. Who serves you an incredibly good four-course dinner while you’ll be seated at a large table with other guests. The perfect way to get to know people and eat delicious food in a very casual way. No fancy restaurant where you go to dressed up. But a culinary experience while you were your jeans. So to speak ;-)
Because a culinary experience it is! First we got an appetizer with a glass of bubbles. The four-course meal consisted of a fresh soup with fish and dille, a salad with asperge and a poached egg, a delicious risotto with spring vegetables and fish and a strawberry mascarpone dessert with basil. French cuisine with a modern touch. And so very tasty! Also we got different wine with every course. You understand: I’m a big fan of this new concept! Also, you should really book a place at the table of Appartement K in Amsterdam too!
